Afternoon tea at The Laurent Perrier Champagne Lounge
Friday was a bit of a special day in my calendar, as I took my lovely mom to experience the new afternoon High Tea at the Laurent Perrier Champagne Bar at Marco Pierre White’s 25th floor restaurant in The Cube, Birmingham. As a lover of high tea (especially scones and cream) this had been the perfect invitation for me, and I was delighted to be given a chance to savor the flavours. We arrived a little early, so decided to make the most of the lovely sunshine and hot weather by enjoying a drink on the terrace. MPW has what is agreed are the best panoramic views of Birmingham, you…

Revamp your living room with John Lewis
If you’ve ever looked around your living room and longed to see something different, then you will know exactly where this post is coming from. My son Joe is now five, and it is safe to say that in his five years he has done his utmost to wreck the house. From crayon on the laminate floor, to endless drinks spilled on the sofa and cushions, children have absolutely no understanding of just how much you love your sofa, or why you treasured that vase, or why carpets and biscuits just don’t mix. But completely redecorating a room does not come cheap, and whilst your kids are still under the…

Reviewed – Jacques Vert Champagne Lace Dress
There are some dresses that you can wear everyday, for any occasion. But there are also dresses that are something a little bit special. The sort of dresses that make you feel a bit like Duchess Kate. This description perfectly fits the beautiful dress that Jacques Vert sent me to review – the Champagne lace embellished dress. The champagne lace effect embellished dress is truly exquisite. A shift style dress with layers of scalloped lace, covered with lots of…

Laser Hair removal at CoLaz Advanced Beauty Specialist
We all love summer, the sunshine, the long days and those endless light nights. It really is a time of the year when everyone seems to feel happier, possibly because they are looking forward to getting away for the holidays and spending some time with family and friends. It is also a lovely time in terms of fashion. The thick tights get put back into the drawer, and the sun-dresses and the sandals come out of their winter hibernation. But there is a downside to all this sunshine, and that is the endless shaving of legs that we seem to do to keep them smooth and silky and looking their…

Boohoo Autumn Preview – and an array of Summer maxi dresses
The Boohoo.com preview for Autumn/Winter 2014 was held at No1 Marylebone, and had a true summer holiday atmosphere. There were photo booths, hook a duck games, seaside style cut-outs for posing in, and a feast of sunny food and drink choices. But there was also fashion that looked forward to the cooler days of Autumn and Winter, and eclectic mix of prints, colours and fabrics. I was a little confused with the styling, I guess I’m just too old for the baseball style jackets and glittery slogan sweatshirts. But I loved lots of the individual pieces that were adorning rail upon rail. I also fell in love with the…
