Reviewed – AX Paris Laser Cut PU Scallop Skirt
I must confess, I haven’t worn a leather, or leather look skirt since I was 20. The last one I wore was a black leather pencil skirt that I got from Camden Market, wore a few times, and then retired, thinking I looked like a watered down version of a Midlands Joan Jett – so not a good look. But earlier this month, whilst browsing the AX Paris curve collection choosing a piece to review, I spotted the Laser Cut PU scallop skirt. This was a leather look skirt with a difference. Ted Baker’s Sweet Shoppe – So sweet and Tempting
I’ve been a huge fan of the Ted Baker Sweet Shoppe since it was launched as a pop-up shop in my local Selfridges in Birmingham. The cute and, well, really sweet, collection of bags, shoes and accessories appealed to the girlie side in me. I loved the sherbet colours that truly reminded me of the sweet shops I loved when I was a little girl, with rhubarb and custard and lemon drops in large glass jars, just waiting to be weighed and then poured into paper bags. The Aegon Classic Ladies Day is on it’s way back to Brum!
It was the most glamorous sporting occasion on the Midlands calender last year, and has proved so successful it is coming back for a second time this June. The Ladies’ Day at the Aegon Classic has been announced as taking place on Thursday 13 June at the Edgbaston Priory Club. This is only the second ever Ladies’ Day at the Aegon Classic, and organisers promise that this year it is coming back even bigger and better than in 2012.
