Be like Pippa and add bright jeans to your wardrobe
It’s been a cold month! And, at times, it’s also been grey dull and grey, placing us firmly in the bleak Midwinter. But Pippa Middleton has shown that a great way to brighten the day is to instill a bit of colour into your wardrobe by way of a bright pair of jeans. Coloured jeans made a resurgence a couple of years ago, and still show no signs of disappearing. I used to think this trend was a bit rock chick, but Pippa has shown that coloured jeans can also make for a great smart casual look. The great thing about these jeans for me is that you are still keeping…

January Star style, featuring Madonna, Pippa, Angelina and a whole lot more.
The January blues that make the majority of us want to hibernate until at least April don’t worry the most stylish stars. For them, January signifies the start of awards season, which of course means dresses, dresses, dresses. (Unless you’re Tilda Swinton when it means trousers!). So here are some of my favourites from Palm Springs, Critics Choice and the National Board of review awards, just to get you in the mood for Sunday’s Golden Globes. And just to prove that sensational dressing is not confined to awards ceremonies, we have the best dresses from the W.E premiere…and Pippa rocking amazing Markus Lupfer. Spoiling you?…Of course, but you are so…

Corrie Nielsen – Dorian Gray Inspiration
In November I was invited to the Forward PR press day. This was an eclectic mix of brands and designers that included the fabulous Lowie and the beautiful Autour d’un Point collection from Jasper Garvida. But perhaps the most innovative, unusual collection on display was that from Fashion Fringe 2010 winner Corrie Nielsen, Arbiter Elegantiarum – a judge or authority in matters of taste. Corrie’s Spring/Summer collection has its inspiration in both the darkly gothic beauty of The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the intricate Japanese pleating and folding associated with Origami. . The collection had a masculine basis, with Victorian men’s dress a key feature – tailored waistcoats and…

Caggie Dunlop – A winter masterclass
Some girls just know how to dress for the really cold weather. I can’t claim to be one of them. I don’t really like wearing trousers all that much, always feel overly warm in a winter coat, and I keep loosing gloves. Which is why sometimes I require a masterclass in the art of Winter dressing. Watching The Made in Chelsea Christmas special a few days ago, I got one from Caggie Dunlop. Yes, the pouting one seems to have winter dressing down to a tee! She can do dressed down in utility style jackets and jeans, and dressed up in the most amazing winter cashmere cape (courtesy of Hayley…

Pippa and Kate End The Year In Style.
Those lovely Middleton ladies ended the year on a style high, showing that the cold weather is no excuse to let up on the fashion front. A new picture of Kate showed her looking dressed down in a stylish shearling style jacket from LK Bennett along with a pair of Wellington boots that matched those worn by her brother-in-law Prince Harry. The jacket, the Darwin, is now sold out completely online, in both expresso brown and black shades. Kate was also wearing her much loved Temperley honeycomb jumper, and a rather stylish jaunty hat. You can steal Kate’s hat style for just £4 with this cute wool felt trilby from…
