Friday Fashion – My Joules Summer Wishlist
I’m a huge fan of British brand Joules, which is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. The sort of Countryside chic, with elements of Land Girl style that Joules embodies, appeals to my sense of style. For me, Joules says Louella, Stella Tennent, The Queen at Sandringham in wellies and a headscarf, all mixed in with a bit of mud-soaked festival cool. Joules is typically British, and I love it for this. The current ranges are just gorgeous, so I have compiled a wish list of Joules items that I would love to have in my wardrobe this Summer. There are quirky printed summer dresses, including the Adrienne dress which…

My pick of Clarks new season.
My fave place to shop for shoes has to be Clarks. I get all Joe’s school shoes from there, they literally last until he needs a new size, they are hard-wearing and tough and yet super comfortable too. My hubby is a big fan of the Clarks Originals Desert Boots, having both the suede and leather versions, and basically living in them, especially the leather ones. As for me, I am a total Clarks Addict, having a huge range of boots, heels and flats from the brand. It really is a brand that I would find no problem recommending to anyone. I always get excited with the new ranges that…

Celebrity get the look with Jessica Alba, Daisy Lowe and Jourdan Dunn
The start of a new month, and a gloriously sunny day, no wonder this edition of celebrity get the look has so many items that are just screaming out my favourite word “Summer”. There are footwear looks from Ugg Australia that were all seen at the recent Coachella festival, including Jourdan Dunn showing how boots can still be made springlike if you teamed them with pretty shorts (her complete outfit is from Topshop if that also takes your fancy). Model Chloe Nygard takes those hen night glitter faves and makes them festival friendly – possible due to the teaming with multi-coloured hair and very quirky shorts. And Coachella DJ Daisy…

Shoe obsession – Melissa’s plastic fashion
If there is one brand of shoe I am more than a little obsessed with, it has to be Melissa’s. The Brazilian brand, that was founded in 1979, has managed to create ultra fashionable shoes with a total point of difference – they’re plastic. And not just any old plastic, the plastic of Melissa’s always smells like the sweetest and fruitiest Haribo’s imaginable. No wonder I’m totally in love with them. I first fell under the spell of Melissa when I saw their collaboration with Vivienne Westwood. My first pair was a Mary Jane style in black mock croc. I was shocked at how comfortable they were, and just how…

Skribbies – A cute idea in Kids shoes
Easter half term saw an exciting new development open in Birmingham’s Bullring, with POP UP Birmingham giving space and a showcase to a range of 80 new designers for a period of 8 weeks. One of the first companies to take up space in the new store was fabulous children’s footwear brand Skribbies, which offers light up LED shoes on their company website among many other children’s footwear options. Skribbies are the innovative range of kids trainers that can be drawn on. The idea of young entrepreneur Jennifer Duthie, Skribbies were launched last year and have been a huge hit with parents and children alike. The premise is simple, the…
