Fashion on a budget – 20 party pieces under £20
I read an interesting article this Summer about a woman who had been invited to a great deal of weddings. She had spent a fortune on different outfits, so much in fact that the total bill had run into thousands. The reason for this was the need to look brilliant, but also different at every wedding, especially as some of the same people would be attending each ceremony. Heat Holders Welly Socks – a perfect stocking filler.
You may remember that last year I got my hubby to review some of the great thermal socks from Heat Holders. He works as a carpenter converting lofts, and during the terribly cold conditions last year, the socks proved to be a godsend, keeping his feet warm and dry even as the temperatures dropped well below zero. I’ve been testing the Welly socks, which have a tog rating of…

And, as we slip further through Autumn, and nearer and nearer to Winter, Clarks are again spoiling us with a range of sales and discounts that make it positively rude not to indulge your…

Shoes – These are a few of my favourite brands
When it comes to choosing my favourite shoes, I must admit that I admire a great many brands. Certain companies seem to excel in producing a certain sort of shoe, and so when you are choosing new shoes, it pays to go to an expert. For classic Mary Jane styles, I always look to Hush Puppies, who take the sensible heel and strap and then add colour and a retro-inspired elegance to them. When looking for a flat shoe that offers comfort with chic ballerina styling I look to French Sole, beloved by Kate Middleton, and certainly more reasonably priced than Pretty Ballerina’s (which I also love incidentally, but my bank…
