Introducing Patricia O’ Toole – feel good fashion
The blogging community is very supportive, with many warm and wonderful ladies and gents who offer advice, support and opportunities to others whenever they can. One such lovely blogger is Avril Keys who writes the fabulous School Gate Style. Avril is based in Northern Ireland, and recommended my blog and work to a new designer who truly understands how to dress womanly curves. Her name is Patricia O’ Toole, and I will be eternally grateful to Avril for introducing me to this great new brand, ‘Beautiful You’. Since having Joe my tummy has most definitely been my problem area, and though in recent years I have lost weight and have…

Packing for an Easter break
We finally break up for Easter tomorrow, and the following day, we are heading for a welcome Easter break in beautiful Wales. It is a trip that will be dominated with the great outdoors, be it the hills and mountains of Snowdonia, or the beaches of Barmouth and Aberdovey. I am totally looking forward to it, but with the weather currently so changeable (we had hail yesterday for goodness sake) what to pack is a little tricky. The weather forecasts are suggesting that light rain showers will be occurring throughout the weekend, and so I’m guessing that I will be living in jeans. Luckily I have some great new jeans…

Scarlett and Jo – so beautiful for Spring
My love for the beautiful clothes of Scarlett and Jo knows no bounds. Every season I literally fall in love with the majority of their range because each collection appeals to all I love in fashion, a vintage feel, gorgeous prints and fabrics, sleeves and designs that just enhance womanly curves. I cannot get enough of the brand and this season is no different – how I would love a supermarket sweep through their stockroom! This season has all the usual elements of recent fashion history. There are maxi dresses, some which have the feel of something from 1930s movies, giving the impression of those bias cut gowns through frills,…

Spotlight on JD Williams
One of the main problems with being a blogger based outside London is that you sometimes get invited to fabulous events that you just can@t attend. Such was the case last year when I received an invite to a special dinner with Lorraine Kelly from JD Williams. Lorraine was launching a fabulous collection with the online catalogue brand, but because of how late I would be arriving back to the Midlands, it was an invite I had to decline. Lorraine’s collection is just part of the great offering from JD Williams, a company that has a range that goes from sizes 12 – 32. JD Williams has tackled all those…

Introducing High Street Outlet
This week, a lovely lady called Julie got in touch with my via the medium of Twitter (how did we ever live without it?) to see if I was interested in hearing a little more about her company and possibly reviewing some of the products they sell. The company is High Street Outlet, and a quick look around the website made me very interested in both the concept and the stock it sells. You know when you have one of those ‘How much?’ moments, but in a good way? Well High Street Outlet gives you those moments time and time again. The reason for this is simple. How would you…
