Jessica Ennis – Queen of the World
Jessica Ennis is on top of the world right now, the Golden girl of sport with a gold medal to prove it. And it seems that sport is not the only area in which Jessica is excelling – showing herself to be no slouch in the style stakes either. Blessed with a glorious figure and a beautiful face, it would be hard for Jessica to look anything less than stunning, but her style choices have met with universal approval. From Victoria Beckham on the Jonathan Ross show, to Alexander McQueen in salmon pink, Jessica has shown her style is ladylike and classic. She chooses knee length skirts, but varies the…

Birmingham Sky Ride – Get on your bike!
I blame Bradley Wiggins. It seems the Mod cyclist has inspired a whole generation to get on their bikes. Everywhere you look at the moment there are people jumping out of their armchairs, grabbing some serious lycra and a whole range of snazzy helmets and going for a bike ride. The success of the fabulous Team GB cyclists, including the ultra glamorous Victoria Pendleton, will only increase interest in a pastime that helps you to keep fit and active, whilst also getting you from A-B in the most environmentally friendly way. In the spirit of this new passion for cycling comes the much-anticipated Birmingham Skyride, coming to the city on…

Duchess Kate wears Roksanda Ilincic to the Royal Academy
The Duchess of Cambridge summer wardrobe of style continued today, with two appearances by Kate, at the equestrian event to support Zara Philips (who was superb by the way…), and then at an event at The Royal Academy she wore a beautiful dress by one of my favourite designers, Roksanda Ilincic. But first to the equestrian ground. Kate was in casual mode, wearing the gorgeous Smythe blazer that we first saw during the tour of Canada last summer. Skinny jeans, the Stuart Weitzman wedges and a crisp white shirt completed the look, which had a very preppy edge to it. Every girl needs a smart blazer in their wardrobe, Kate…

Paloma Faith brings her retro glamour to the Torch relay
Who else would roll up those trousers of the special torch relay tracksuit, put a 1940s style roll to the hair, and then add a rather gorgeous, totally glamorous but dangerously high pair of red platforms to carry the Olympic torch? It could only be that beautifully eccentric goddess Paloma Faith of course. Paloma never does anything less than full on glamour, and the torch relay proved to be no exception. Yes, this event did involve some walking, and yes, everyone else had worn trainers, but Paloma is an old star movie star transported from the 1940s to the present day, so anything flat and sensible on the feet was…

Kate’s Olympic wardrobe – The story so far.
One of the most exciting things about the Olympics from a fashion point of view is that we are going to be seeing a lot of the Duchess of Cambridge, which of course means lots of fab outfits to pour over. Kate has so far been seen in cut price Hobbs, cut price Zara…and CHRISTOPHER KANE! (Cue mega excitement from me!) On Thursday, during the final Olympic countdown, Kate looked very cool and summery in the ‘Wessex’ dress from Hobbs. This was a typical Kate style dress, nipped in waistband and full-skirted, with a pretty grey and white loose check pattern. The dress was on sale for just £35, but…
