Dressing Gowns – Fashion for Relaxation
As much as I love getting dressed up at this time of the year, adding the Christmas sparkle and glitter and basically enjoying the run up to Christmas, it is also true to say that by December 25th, I usually feel tired enough to sleep for a hundred years. So once Christmas is well and truly over, I have a few days where I try to wind down and relax, and basically avoid getting dressed at all. There are new DVDs to be watched, cheesy Christmas movies to enjoy, and those selection boxes to devour, and non of them require anything more than a pair of PJs and my dressing…

A velvet obsession
When it comes to Christmas 2016, the main fashion trend that we will remember is how luxurious velvet made quite a comeback. It is always a fabulous fabric for Christmas, with its roots in the stunning red velvet capes that we imagine Victorian children wearing. Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence and Kim Kardashian have all fell under a velvet spell, whilst just last week Kate Moss opted for classic black velvet at the British Fashion Awards. Velvet is having a beautiful, fashion moment. I’ve been having my own velvet moments this Christmas. It is a fabric that I always reach for as soon as the Christmas Tree…

Budget Friendly Beauty Gifts
So Christmas Eve is just 17 days away, and those shopping days are counting down fast. You may be completely finished with all the presents wrapped (and if that is the case then well done you.) You may be just looking for a few more gifts before you say ‘Done’. Or you may not have even started (eek!). I’m starting with Tangle Teezer, and this year’s newest designer addition, which comes…

Reviewed – Mystery Boots by Hotter
[affilinet_performance_ad size=468×60] As much as I love a pretty heeled boot, I have to say that doing the school run every day makes wearing them virtually impossible. Joe’s school is in a semi rural area, and this Autumn it has been a nightmare due to falling leaves and rainfall. Frankly, in heeled boots I have had to take my life into my hands as the pavement has become treacherously slippy – at times I’ve walked in the road which is not a good idea either due to it’s narrowness and the volume of traffic that comes through. Clearly I needed to be wearing something more sensible. Thankfully, Hotter shoes have…

November Outfits Post #WIWT
November is always a busy month, because it is when the road to Christmas really begins. So this month has been filled with really lovely events, shows and parties which has been a great excuse to get into my second wardrobe. This is one that lives in my son’s room and contains my party wear, the clothes covered in sequins, sparkle and glitter. Because, if you can’t sparkle at this time of year, I’m really not sure when you can. As ever, I have tried to link to pieces that are in shops now, or have featured alternatives in similar styles, cuts and colours. My second wardrobe is one that…
