Preparing for the Chill with Esprit
January. I have to be honest, it’s my least favourite month of the year. The one that replaces the Christmas glow, glitter and glamour with dark, cold weather and a decidedly chilly air. This month is proving to be the norm rather than the exception. By the end of the week we could be looking at sleet and snow across most of the UK, and those sparkly days of December seem an awful long way away. It’s time to dig out those Winter Woollies. The thing about dressing when the weather turns bad is that style often goes out of the window. It’s all about those chunky layers, puffa style…

Golden Globes 2017 – Best Dressed
Last night saw the start of Awards Season in Hollywood, with the awarding of the annual Golden Globe Awards which honour the best in film and television from the previous year. As always. the Golden Globes are all about the fashion, as well as being a pointer to who might win big at The Oscars next month. I have to say that from a fashion point of view, the awards were a little disappointing. I was unimpressed with the likes of Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana, both reliable fashionista’s who failed to shine on the night. December Outfit post part 2 – Christmas!
Welcome to part 2 of my outfit round up for the month of December. This is the part of the run up concentrating on the outfits I wore over the Christmas period, so, as you might expect, it contains a lot of glitter and sparkle. There are also lots of new things that I was gifted for Christmas by my lovely hubby and family. And, as we are now firmly entrenched in the January sales, lots of the items are now heavily reduced, giving you the ideal opportunity to grab a great sales bargain. I am always firmly of the opinion that the Christmas tree shouldn’t be the only thing…

December Outfit post – Part 1- Build up to Christmas
Happy New Year to you all! I’m starting the year with the usual outfit round up, this time for the month of December. But, as December has been a very busy and active month, I am going to split December into two posts, with this one being the run up to Christmas, which was filled with parties, panto’s and all around good living. Party season meant some new pieces added to my wardrobe, and a dip into my sparkly wardrobe currently housed in my son Joe’s room. New pieces include the Untold dress from House of Fraser, which is probably the shortest thing I had worn in years, and the…

Debby Reynolds and Carrie Fisher RIP
We all know that 2016 as been a terrible year when it comes to our idols and icons. From the start of the year when it devastated with the death of David Bowie, right up until Christmas day, when one of my 80s childhood icons George Michael shockingly died in his sleep at the age of just 53, 2016 will long be remembered as the year many of the heroes died. Today we have woken with the news that Hollywood legend Debby Reynolds has died after suffering a stroke, just a day after the death of her daughter, Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher. It is shocking that two ladies, who…
