Barbara Hulanicki for George – Spring Drop
The Spring drop from Barbara Hulanicki for George at Asda is in stores now. The usual mixture of gorgeous prints, this season we also see the introduction of a new dress shape in the form of the shirt dress, available in both plain and print form. Eight key pieces have been introduced, with a great pair of leggings for just £8 bound to be a popular buy. My key pieces are a fabulous jersey jacket in animal print, and a sheer floral patterned shirt that would look amazing buttoned up to the neck with cigarette pants. The dresses, as ever, are great day to night pieces, and total value buys,…

Graduate fashion week and Barbara Hulanicki – A George update
It’s all happening at Asda at the moment. George, which is the sponsor of Graduate Fashion Week, has just unveiled the first collection from the winner of the top prize in 2012, Chloe Jones, and it is all about wearable jersey in 50 shades of grey. The tie waisted tunic and dipped edged jacket look set to be very popular, using grey and charcoal as a versatile alternative to black. Sadie Robson, head of design at George…

Sodden grass that my boot heels sunk into, leaving a trail of mud and grass all over the patio (and all over my new boots!). All this was a gentle reminder that I need to get some new wellies, and quick. Wynsors has a really cute and fun range…

Boohoo knitb4xmas – simply fabulous
It was the knitb4xmas and all through the house, not a single soul stirred, they were all in the Ice Bar! I attended my first Christmas event last week, and it was simply Sublime. Those wonderful people at Boohoo.com and 7thingsmedia had combined to create the ultimate introduction to Christmas. All the key ingredients for a fabulous Christmas were there, mulled wine and gingerbread cocktails, a festive choir in full, seasonal song, and more Christmas jumpers than you could shake a stick at. Add in a trip to Ice Bar, a genuine, unique experience, where you enjoy your freezing cold drinks at temperatures of minus 2, and you have a…
