Kate wears Whistles to visit National Gallery
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the National Gallery today, as the first official portrait of the Duchess was unveiled. Kate looked blooming and beautiful in a gorgeous Whistles dress that had been previously seen in 2012. There was just the slightest hint of a baby bump, but for once, the discussions that raged following the visit were not about the Duchess’s pregnancy. The discussions, many of them totally hilarious, focused on the portrait by Paul Elmsley. It is, quite frankly, hideous. Kate appears to be at least 2o years older than she actually is, and with very puffy facial features. Many have commented about how wrong the nose…

What to wear for a Winter wedding?
Being a Winter wedding guest is fraught with problems, the main being what to wear? In Summertime it is easy to opt for pretty florals with wraps and pashminas to add a little coverage if the weather is not so great. Maxi dresses are another fab option that are always an elegant choice. And it seems every colour, with the exception of white, is an option, with the shops being awash with colour in the brightest of seasons. But come Winter, the choice of what to wear for a Winter Wedding is not so simple. The weather of course is cooler, meaning that a coat may have to be worn…

Duchess Kate – More Singapore looks to Savour
I have to say just how much I am enjoying the fashion odyssey currently being undertaken by the Duchess of Cambridge has she makes her way around Singapore. There have been no fashion recycled pieces yet, and with up to three changes of dress in a day, this makes exiting viewing for Kate watchers everywhere. The designer names she has worn so far are almost a who’s who of fashion at this moment, Jenny Packham, Prabal Gurung, Erdem, Alexander McQueen and Raoul have all been showcased to great effect, as the Duchess breezes through the unenviable task of looking stylish and keeping cool in very balmy conditions. (I went to…

More ways to get that Middleton look
Whilst Kate seems to be having a break after a flurry of High profile appearances, her influence on British fashion continues to flourish. I spend lots of time trawling the internet looking at new collections from High Street and Web-based companies, and seem to spend an awful lot of time saying ‘that looks like something the Duchess of Cambridge has worn’. With Kate’s impeccable taste now shown to be retail catnip, it is no wonder that so many companies are trying to harness some of the Kate Effect. George are just one retailer who have talked of the indirect Kate effect – when the Duchess was pictured wearing coral skinny…

More High Street Hits for Kate
The Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Liverpool this week, and again she showed that even with all the World’s top designers at her feet, she is still a High Street girl at heart. This time the store of choice was Hobbs, and the item of choice was a beautiful brown calf length coat with a skinny belt. The coat was the Unlimited Celeste Flared coat, that was reduced in the sale to £182. I say was, because, as with every item worn by the Duchess, this coat sold out within hours of the Liverpool visit. However, I have added the link to the coat below as clever Hobbs…
