I absolutely loved May. The weather started dreadfully – I was still wearing my winter coat, but then it became glorious and I spent a lot of time reading books in the garden (when I should’ve been working, but still!). May was also a busy month in my house, with two birthdays, end of the football season meaning presentation time, and quite a few date nights too. Friday Fashion – Wallis new ‘W’ collection
The latest drop from the W Collection from Wallis is here, and it is as glamorous and eclectic as ever. Full of eminently wearable pieces that incorparate daytime classics with full on evening glamour, the new collection is stylish, timeless and yet still feels absolutely bang up to date. This season has chosen a stark colour palette of black, white, camel and red. There are flashes of metallics in the form of a silver soaked beaded jacket, a bronze brocade trouser suit that echoes the 1970s ethos of Biba, and a beautiful, boho influenced dress/tunic emblazoned in stars and beading. Style Birmingham Live 2015 – fashion fun in Brum
Last weekend saw all the glamorous people flock to Birmingham for Style Birmingham Live 2015. Held in the Gas Hall of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, shows took place over the Saturday and Sunday and featured a range of outfits put together using the best of the Birmingham’s High Street and Independent names. The show was also a showcase for the newly opened John Lewis, who opened the show, and for the hit television show Peaky Blinders, which is famously set in the city in the 1920s.
