Deck the Halls with John Lewis this Christmas
I have a family tradition when it comes to Christmas. The 1st December is dedicated to putting up the Christmas tree and ‘decking the halls’ throughout my house. And although I choose an artificial tree so do not replace this every year, I do insist on buying new decorations to add to my already burgeoning collection – tree decorations, things to decorate the mantlepieces, new candles and a whole host of other items that just catch my eyes when I’m out and about. This year, my eyes have been drawn to the Christmas home and decoration range from John Lewis. In particular I love the way that the tree decorations have…

Bear and Hare – an ebook is on the way
‘Bear and Hare’ is this year’s outstanding seasonal offering in the advert department. Telling the heartwarming story of the friendship between a brown bear and a hare, it is a magical viewing experience from John Lewis that is delighting both adults and children. August is, after all, the month when magazines pull out the big guns in the form of ‘The September Issue’, and we all start to think about what we will be wearing in Autumn, whether we want to or not. One of the trends I really love is the one that John Lewis have cleverly titled ‘Boy meets Lady’. This season there is a definite feminine feel to our wardrobes, but one that has a masculine edge to it. Ladylike skirts are de-prettified with the…

A Radley Bag = A British Classic.
Radley, the classic British bag company famous for the cute Scottish Terrier logo, will be celebrating its 30th Birthday next year. Yes, it was in 1984 that Lowell Harder started her business on a stall in Camden Market, London, going on to one of the best loved and iconic of all British bag companies. For a while I must admit that Radley (or Radley London as it has now been re-branded, showing pride for those Camden Market roots) disappeared off my fashion radar. I’m not sure whether it was the dog logo, or the overuse of those beige and pale pinks, but I just found myself passing the Radley stands…

My Favourite shoes from Duchess Kate’s fave brand
I booked my Summer holiday on Saturday, and so I am already planning my holiday wardrobe. And whilst I will shop around for an array of swimwear, pretty sundresses and accessories, there is only one place I head for my perfect summer wedges. And, it seems I am in good company. LK Bennett shoes have gained notoriety in the last few years for being a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister Pippa Middleton. But, for once, I have the beating of Kate, and can happily say I got my favourite LK Bennett shoes before the Royal Wedding, and hence missed the demand for everything that Kate wears.…
