Silver & Grey Glamour At Dorothy Perkins
In the 1990s, there was no more glamorous couple than Johnny Depp and Kate Moss. I’m mentioning this because, this season, one of Kate’s most memorable early red carpet looks, from her time with Depp, is a key style inspiration. The simple grey shift dress was elegant, chic and remains totally timeless, and this Autumn the grey shade that totally made the dress is going to be a new style crush (along with silver shades) when it comes to a little bit of evening glamour. Grey is most definitely the new black. It has always had a place in the wardrobe as part of a workwear suit. Most of us…

Festival Fever – No Thanks!
When it comes to festivals, it is safe to say I am now firmly on the side of 6 out of 10 magazine and their stance in the article ´Why festivals aren´t for me´. Now, I am the first to admit that Kate Moss and her crew of super cool friends still look amazing glamping in their Winnebago´s, complete with their own toilet and home comforts. The design gained shoulder pads in the 1980s, and then worked with the minimalistic style of the 1990s, being the last fashion favourite of…

Retro glamour with added feathers
I don’t mind admitting that I am truly excited about an event I am going to be attending tomorrow night. The award winning musical Top Hat is opening at the Wolverhampton Grand, and, as a huge fan of the original 1930s movie, I am literally counting down the hours until the show. Top Hat has been called the daddy of the 1930s musical, full of romance, glorious songs (Puttin on the Ritz, Let’s face the music and dance, Cheek to Cheek) and some of the most beautiful costumes of all time. And I guess that is what has got my excitement levels soaring to an all time high – the…
