Selfridges Destination Christmas
Even in the realms of Christmas in July events, there is always something super special about Selfridges Christmas in July. For fans of the festive season, it is truly destination Christmas. Held in the industrial confines of the Old Selfridges Hotel, this years event had snow, a giant Polar Bear, a Kate Spade pop up shop and some of the most mouth-watering gorgeous food treats I have ever tasted. There were also William and Kate Christmas cards, dancing pigs from Giffords Circus, a Tatty Devine ‘make your own bracelet’ stand and so much more… The one thing I always love about Selfridges Christmas events are the range of items that…

Britmums Live – My first experience
I was incredibly lucky this weekend as I was able to attend my first ever Britmums Live conference. I was fortunate in that I had sponsorship for this event from fab fashion brand Kaleidoscope, without which I could not have attended, and I am pleased to say that it was every bit as good as I thought it would be. Here are just some of the reasons why. 1. The opportunity to meet with brands and their representatives was both useful and illuminating. From Butlins to Warner Bros, by way of fashion from TK Maxx, books from Paragon and Waterstones and children’s products from Tu and Little Ones from Sainsburys.…

Friday Focus – Alice Temperley
If I could choose one designer to create my wardrobe for the rest of my life, it would be the wonderful Alice Temperley. Her designs are just so typically English, ethereal, mystical and totally feminine, and have attracted celebrity fans in their droves. Katy Perry rocked her Floria dress as the perfect choice for a Valentine’s evening, those splashes of red being totally appropriate to celebrate the day of love. Both Kate and Pippa Middleton are fans of the brand, Kate famously wore a beautiful white dress with black accents for one of her first official engagements. And, of course, a great many society ladies and models have opted for…

Catwalk4Change – Why I’m involved.
If we’re being totally honest, I’m not the perfect person to be strutting my stuff on a catwalk. Not super tall, not amazingly beautiful, a mom who never completed shifted the baby weight and is not all that worried by the fact. But, On the 6th September, walking a catwalk is exactly what I am going to be doing, and all for a very special cause. Models of Diversity, an internationally famous campaign for diversity within the fashion industry, has joined forces with the gorgeous blogger Edita of Pret-a-reporter, to change the rules of fashion this autumn with CATWALK4CHANGE. On 6th of September an amazing fashion show will kick-start London Fashion…

New Look Press Day
New Look are one of the most popular and consistent of all high street retailers, producing collection after collection of great clothes, and accessories ranges that now, in my opinion, rival anything that the High Street (and some designer collections) have to offer. The recent New Look press day was an eclectic mixture of glorious jewellery, accessories that belied their High Street roots, and a clothing collection that was more dressed down than dressed up, and showed influences that ranged from Debbie Harry and punk, to Vivienne Westwood and pearlie kings and queens. There was much to admire and enjoy. Jewellery The statement necklace has is something that New Look…
