And so the sales season continues, with Selfridges the latest to announce their big summer savings. The Selfridges sale is the one that can most likely be classed as an event, they hold very few sales throughout the year, and the savings are always massive, with many items with up to 50% off. This year the sale includes designer items from Isabel Marant, Alexander McQueen, Markus Lupfer and Vivienne Westwood Anglomania. Jingle Belles – The Spice Girls, X Factor and a bit of Girls Aloud.
Even as the year draws to a close, we still have time to feast our eyes on a host of wonderful looks, as those Christmas events come rolling in thick and fast. Last weekend alone saw the Capital Radio Jingle Bells Ball featuring the newly reformed Girls Aloud and girl of the year Rita Ora amongst others, whilst the X Factor final saw Nicole and James Arthur reigning supreme. Harvey Nichols Birmingham hosts a Spring/Summer 12 preview
Last Saturday, the brightest and best of Birmingham’s style bloggers risked the threat of incoming snow to enjoy a touch of Spring. The iconic Harvey Nichols store in the Mailbox hosted a special Spring/Summer preview,complete with fashion show, trend reports and an opportunity for a store walk. And, this being Harvey Nicks, all that fashion was complimented with lashings of champagne. The fashion show was a perfect opportunity to introduce some of the new designs coming to the Birmingham store.
