Charity shopping is the next big thing in fashion. For whatever reason, whether it be the deep economic recession leaving us less disposable cash in our pockets, or the resurgence in vintage dressing, or simply a desire to step outside the normal fashion perimeters, more and more people are taking their first trip to a charity shop, and liking what they find. I first discovered charity shopping in my teens. The yellow peril – colour of the season?
When I am asked my favourite colour I say, with absolutely no hesitation whatsoever, “YELLOW”. It has been my favourite forever, and this season, it seems to be having a bit of a moment, at least according to the bible that is Vogue. When I think of yellow, I think of some of my favourite ever dresses. Boden New Season – Gorgeous spring brights
The Boden Spring/Summer collection was one of the most exciting I saw at the press days, and it is now hitting stores and online. This is a collection that is just bursting with colour of every shade, on dresses, knitwear and accessories. And, being Boden, all those gorgeous, quirky touches are there in abundance, from button back jumpers to colour blocking bags. This collection reminds me of Miu Miu in many aspects. Stripes are teamed with spots, dresses have a 1960s feel with Peter Pan collars and colours seemed designed to be both clashing and matching in equal parts. Autumn Collection at New Look
With the dawn of September we can safely say that Autumn is here, and I must admit that this is one of my favourite times of the year. Tribeca Film Festival – All the best looks
This weekend saw the 10th annual Tribeca Film Festival, with a very starry line up in attendance. Emma Watson, Michelle Williams, Emily Blunt and Helena Christensen were amongst the celebrity line-up who were bringing some real glamour to the proceedings.
