The excitement level is growing by the day, in just over seven days I am going to Buckingham Palace to view THAT dress! That glorious Sarah Burton creation that made us all gasp at its beauty on the April day. Yes, Fashion-Mommy is off to see the Duchess of Cambridge‘s wedding dress. The dress, along with the veil, Halo tiara and shoes, is going to be the star attraction when Buckingham Palace opens its doors to the public on July 23rd for its annual summer opening. The rise and rise of Pippa Middleton appears to be gathering pace with her unveiled as the cover girl for the August Edition of Tatler. Using a beautiful image of the world’s most famous bridesmaid in a decoupage style setting, Pippa is the second Middleton girl to get a Tatler cover this year. Pippa’s profile continues to grow. The BBC is apparently desperate to get her to appear on Strictly Come dancing this Autumn, whilst R&B charmer Usher is apparently keen to use her charms for his new underwear range. Shock! Horror! Pippa Middleton wears the same dress on two days running!
If you’ve been reading the papers this week, you’d think the biggest fashion faux-pas of all time had been committed. Pippa Middleton wore a fabulous Hobbs NWS Wyldes dress (£143..but don’t bother, it’s already sold out.) when she went shoe shopping on the Kings Road. She was then spotted at Wimbledon the next day, wearing the SAME DRESS. Pippa wore the red linen dress whilst she was shopping for wedges at Russell and Bromley on the Kings Road, buying a tan pair. It seems that Kate and Pippa have more things in common than a love of LK Bennett shoes. Just weeks after Kate´s see through dress designed by Charlotte Todd was sold at auction for a staggering amount (well, it was the dress that won a Prince…), it seems that Pippa´s fashion show blue dress may be the next big Kerry Taylor Auction frock! The blue halter neck dress was worn by Pippa in a fashion show at Edinburgh University in 2004, and was bought after the show by Vanessa Morgan, a design and PR Manager for Atelier Swarovski for 190 pounds.
