Embracing Faux Fur at Next this season
At the risk of repeating myself for the umpteenth time, I have to say I am not a fan of Winter. It is too cold, too dark and too miserable for me, I love light nights, warm days and sunshine. But one thing I do like about Winter is the way it is suddenly acceptable to add really fun, faux fur pieces into the wardrobe, with the mantra seeming to be ‘the brighter, the better.’ I took a little Christmas shopping trip with my mom and sister on Sunday, and mom treated me to a fabulous soft grey fun fur gilet from Next that I have had my eyes on…

Fashion Focus on Jumpers from Dorothy Perkins
I’ve just returned from the first school run of the new term, and all I can say is brrrrr! My little boy Joe described it best this morning, calling the day ‘Sunny cold’, with a bit of frost, bright blue skies and sun, but a definite chill in the air. We are now in the midst of jumper season. Happy birthday to the Gudrun Sjoden Stripy Top
It has been 35 years since Scandinavian design legend Gudrun Sjoden first produced her classic striped top. That first order consisted of an order for just 30 tops in 3 different colour ways, a test to see how well received the garment would be. Since then, the design has become a total classic, with over 300,000 tops being sold around the world. It is an integral part of the Gudrun Sjoden story, whatever the season, and shows how true, good design is able to stand the test of time. As a huge fan of Gudrun Sjoden for quite some time, I was recently asked if I would like to review…
