Kate Middleton is feeling blue – again!
It has to be said that the Duchess of Cambridge is rather fond of a touch of blue, it seems to be a colour she wears again and again. Last week she attended an event at The National Portrait gallery wearing a vibrant Stella McCartney cobalt blue shift dress that to me was very reminiscent of the sort of styles worn in the 1960s by Jackie Kennedy. The blue was very vibrant and made a great backdrop for the special Olympic rings necklace she was also wearing that day. It is said Kate wanted to wear Stella to tie in with the designer being the official Olympic kit designer, and…

New Look sorts your holiday packing
Holiday packing – not that much fun is it? Trying to sort outfits for each day, every few minutes getting those suitcase scales out in order to check you’ve not exceeded the baggage allowance (which for some airlines is now as low as 15 kilograms). Well, what if I said that with some savvy buys you could get away with taking a capsule wardrobe of just 20 pieces. That’s right, 20 pieces. I’m taking a leaf from Gok Wan’s book and choosing pieces that can multi functional and can be mixed and matched to create a range of different outfits. You can get all the pieces featured here from…

Yet Another Kate Moss revival
You can never write her off, every time it goes a little bit quite on the Kate Moss front, she comes storming back in spectacular fashion. Now is one of those times. My favourite Supermodel of all time is quite frankly everywhere at the moment, and looking better than ever. From actually doing an interview with Grazia magazine (where she did make a bit of a stupid comment about dressing like a wife. A wife is what you are – i.e. Married, not how you dress), to fabulous ad campaigns for Salvatore Ferragamo where she looks just stunning, 2012 is turning out to be another summer of Kate. I just…

Joe’s #ColourMeinRK Challenge
This page is called Fashion Mommy, but more often than not it features more of the fashion, and less of the mommy side to me. But I was recently asked if I wanted my little one Joe to take part in a special challenge in collaboration with Britmums and Kelloggs Rice Crispies. This was the colour me in Rice Crispies challenge and involved a very large box of the cereal and a rather gorgeous colouring set containing a range of felts, crayons, glitter glue and magic pens. The idea was that Joe decorated his Rice Crispy packet however he wanted, and then I would upload a photograph of his masterpiece.…

Boden’s Limited Edition – Bree Van De Kamp’s wardrobe anyone?
One of the saddest things about the end of Desperate Housewives is that we will no longer get the opportunity to lust over Mrs Van De Kamp’s wardrobe (and yes, I know she got married a few times after Rex, but she will always be Bree Van De Kamp to me.) Bree’s mixture of pristine Stepford Wives but with a surprisingly sexy edge was always a style highlight, the only TV character who came close to challenging Carrie Bradshaw in my affections. From full-skirted dresses, to neat early 1960s inspired numbers, teamed with gorgeous embellished knits, Bree was a lady who never had a hair out-of-place, a crease on her…
