Wallis Dress Event
Over the last few seasons, Wallis has excelled itself when it comes to producing gorgeous collections of dresses, and, with Summer just around the corner, the latest collection is almost here. The lovely ladies from Wallis invited me to Wallis HQ last week to take a look, and I was absolutely smitten by so many of the styles I viewed. From beautiful maxi dresses, to 1960s style beaded shifts, to bright summer friendly colours, to muted neutral shades, Wallis has decided that there should be a dress for any woman and any occasion, and they have gone out and created one. I want them all! As well as dresses, there…

Reviewed – Aqua Sphere Seal Kid 2 Swimmask
My little boy Joe has been having swimming lessons for almost a year now, and has just won his second swimming badge (proud mommy moment!) He’s also reaching that age when he desperately wants to wear swimming goggles for his lessons, but I have to admit I have a real problem with this, for a good many reasons. I am not a fan of general swimming goggles, they are often cheaply made and ill fitting. They often suffer for being far too tight on your child’s face, or not tight enough and therefore letting water in. Hard to adjust and not comfortable to wear, I have found swim goggles to…

Friday Fashion – My Joules Summer Wishlist
I’m a huge fan of British brand Joules, which is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. The sort of Countryside chic, with elements of Land Girl style that Joules embodies, appeals to my sense of style. For me, Joules says Louella, Stella Tennent, The Queen at Sandringham in wellies and a headscarf, all mixed in with a bit of mud-soaked festival cool. Joules is typically British, and I love it for this. The current ranges are just gorgeous, so I have compiled a wish list of Joules items that I would love to have in my wardrobe this Summer. There are quirky printed summer dresses, including the Adrienne dress which…

Summer essentials for a working wardrobe
With Joe now at school full-time, thoughts have turned to the possibility of returning to the world of employment. In my previous life I was a teacher, but with all the recent changes in education, I don’t think this is an area I would really want to go back into, I’d totally lost the zest for teaching by the time Joe came along, and don’t honestly think this is something that I would return to – ever. But the idea of doing something new, on a part-time basis, appeals, and the money would certainly come in handy. But what? With this in mind, I have recently joined City Calling, a…

Beautiful Jewellery from Lulu Winter
Online jewellery treasure trove Lulu Winter was founded by father and daughter team Peter and Louise Myson in 2011. They wanted to bring something a little different to the online jewellery market:- hard-to-find designers and new talent, jewellery that was modern and cutting edge, but retained all the lustre of classic pieces, and something that was just that little bit different. In the three years since the brand was launched, they have most certainly achieved that. Lulu Winter now stocks brands like Dyrberg and Kern, Muru and Rodgers and Rodgers, as well as one of my current faves, celebrity darling Kleshna. Kleshna is a brand that has garnered a cult…
