Reviewed – Scooby Doo Adventures
I literally grew up on a diet of Scooby Doo! It was my favourite cartoon by an absolute mile, with my fave characters a toss-up between that loveable Great Dane and the gorgeous Daphne. In recent years the classic cartoons have been given a new lease of life, first through the feature film versions, and then with Mystery incorporated, which updated the 60s groovy vibes with a more Millennium feel. This was perfect for the more streetwise modern-day kids, but left us fans of the original feeling a little cold, and was more than a little frightening for little ones like my four-year old Joe. So thank goodness for a…

Zalando – Inspired by ‘New Girl’
This has got to be one of my favourite ‘inspired by’ collections ever! Zalando.co.uk have put together a fabulous new collection of must have looks that have drawn direct inspiration from ‘New Girl’. And, as new girl stars one of my fave style crushes, both on and off-screen, the wonderful Zooey Deschanel. Zooey, who I now doubt will be watching in her blonde stage very soon, in my annual watching of ‘Elf’, has a distinct style often referred to as kooky, but which I prefer to call retro eclectic. Both on and off-screen, she favours ultra-feminine prom queen styles in both primary and pastel shades. Full skirts, nipped in waistbands and…

Heat Holders Welly Socks – a perfect stocking filler.
You may remember that last year I got my hubby to review some of the great thermal socks from Heat Holders. He works as a carpenter converting lofts, and during the terribly cold conditions last year, the socks proved to be a godsend, keeping his feet warm and dry even as the temperatures dropped well below zero. I must admit that I was a little bit jealous of these gorgeous, fluffy, thermal lined socks, and so I was delighted when Heat Holders sent me a pair of their ‘ultimate thermal socks’ in both the regular and Wellington boot variety. I’ve been testing the Welly socks, which have a tog rating of…
