Reviewed – Bare Minerals Original Foundation from Selfridges
Sometimes you are asked to a review a product that you are a little sceptical over. When I was asked by Selfridges if I would be interested in testing the Original Foundation from Bare Minerals, that is exactly how I felt. I know that Bare Minerals are a highly regarded brand, and that this particular product was award-winning, but I was still uneasy about how a foundation that came in powdery form could offer the coverage needed. I was also sceptical about how it would blend into the skin. Well, I have to say that I have been totally converted by this product, and that from now on, this will…

Reviewed – Balance Me Products from Debenhams
Balance Me is an award-winning range of beauty products that pride themselves on the use of natural ingredients and oils in order to restore skin to the perfect natural lustre. As someone who suffers with combination skin that is both oily on the t-zone and dry around the edges of the face and neck, I was interested to try some of the Balance Me products currently available at Debenhams. B Public Relations Christmas in July
Last week, in the middle of a sweltering July week, I attended a whole host of Christmas press days. It was a weird and yet wonderful experience. The first event I attended was for B Public Relations, who represent a whole host of fabulous beauty and fashion companies, including the very much in the news maternity brand Seraphine (beloved of the Duchess of Cambridge), Truffle Shuffle and my fave of all bathtime products Bodhi. Choosing the stunning surroundings of the Saville Club (truly whit whoo if you’ve never paid a visit) and treating press and bloggers to a very lovely breakfast that included smoked salmon and pancakes smothered in treacle,…

L’Occitaine and GlossyBox Pamper shopping event
Last Wednesday beauty fans and bloggers gathered in Birmingham’s Pavilions shopping centre to attend a great beauty event hosted by Provencal beauty brand L’Occitaine, and Glossybox. The event was a chance to see all the new ranges that L’Occitaine has introduced lately, and also to try some of the products, with 15% discount offered on anything you then chose to buy. I’ve been a huge fan of L’Occitaine for a good many years, loving in particular the floral scents and the Almond Oil products, so this event was perfect for me to get the opportunity to see experience some of the products I haven’t used before. One of the collections…

Bodhi Spa Soiree – a night of luxury
There are some invites that you simply cannot ignore. Dinner with George Clooney, a trip to the top of The Shard, anything all expenses paid and involving shopping, the list is full of the sorts of experiences that would linger in the memory forever. And an invitation to a special Spa Soiree with one of my favourite brands, Bodhi, is another experience that you simply could not turn down, even if you were feeling quite poorly. (As I, unfortunately, was last week). Being Bodhi, this was no ordinary Spa evening. Taking place in the plush surroundings of the penthouse of the ‘Staying Cool’ apartments in Birmingham’s Iconic Rotunda building, and…
