Friday Fashion- Botanical Brights from John Lewis
There was a bit of a miracle occurance this week when it came to the weather – the sun came out! Yes, it has been truly beautiful for the past few days, and with the weather this weekend promising to be ‘hotter than Ibiza’, this Friday fashion post could only be dedicated to pieces that are as bright and beautiful as the weekend promises to be. John Lewis has launched an edit that it describes as ‘Botanical Brights’. This is a collection of items that you could wear now, and will also be brilliant to pack in your suitcase when it comes to Summer holiday time. The pieces are in…

Celebrity get the look with Vicky Pattison, Olivia Palermo and Prince George
It seemed like it was about time for another celebrity get the look post, looking at some of the latest looks that celebrities have been wearing that include some pieces from the High Street, as well as a few covetable designer looks thrown in for good measure. So, this month we have it all – cream of Hollywood Royalty, a couple of supermodels, reality tv finest and a bonafide fashionista. We have looks from Zara, Select fashion, Topshop and a couple of stunning dresses from latest fashion ‘must have’ label Self Portrait, a label I first saw in person at a Pandora launch, worn by Sarah Jayne Crawford, and have…

A little late – March Outfits Post
This is a little later than usual, we are well into April, half way through it in fact, and yet I am only just getting around to doing a March outfit post. The problem has been that I went away for the latter part of March, not coming back until we were well into April, and I am now playing that age old game of catch-up. So, apologies for the lateness. March was a fairly quite month due to the fact that I was struggling health wise for so much of it. A combination of sinusitis, which I suffer from dreadfully, and Colitis, meant that some lovely events I was…

Janis Joplin festival style
Over the Easter holiday I enjoyed catching up on a bit of television, and one thing that I watched was a docu-film about the legendary Janis Joplin. Called ‘Janis Joplin – Little Girl Blue’, it was a story that told about her life, her work, her problems and showed many of her legendary performances, including ‘Ball and Chain’, ‘Cry Baby’ and ‘Another Piece of My Heart.’ One of the things I noticed whilst watching the film was what incredible style Janis had. This was the late 1960s when hippy chick was all the rage, and with festival fever taking off with Monteray, Woodstock and The Isle of Wight festivals amongst…

Boho Inspiration from Duchess Kate
The successful Royal tour of India and Bhutan is now at an end, and it has to be said that watching Duchess Kate’s wardrobe has been an absolute joy. She has moved away from her regular, classic style and embraced an Eastern inspired wardrobe which has been a veritable feast of colour and boho inspiration. Kate’s wardrobe has been a mixture of clever High Street Pieces and designer outfits, including a red Tory Burch kaftan style dress that was worn on exactly the same day by Hollywood star Drew Barrymore. The wardrobe worked so well for this tour, looking cool and relaxed in the hot temperatures, and very modern and…
