December Outfit post – Part 1- Build up to Christmas
Happy New Year to you all! I’m starting the year with the usual outfit round up, this time for the month of December. But, as December has been a very busy and active month, I am going to split December into two posts, with this one being the run up to Christmas, which was filled with parties, panto’s and all around good living. Party season meant some new pieces added to my wardrobe, and a dip into my sparkly wardrobe currently housed in my son Joe’s room. New pieces include the Untold dress from House of Fraser, which is probably the shortest thing I had worn in years, and the…

Reviewed – Mystery Boots by Hotter
[affilinet_performance_ad size=468×60] As much as I love a pretty heeled boot, I have to say that doing the school run every day makes wearing them virtually impossible. Joe’s school is in a semi rural area, and this Autumn it has been a nightmare due to falling leaves and rainfall. Frankly, in heeled boots I have had to take my life into my hands as the pavement has become treacherously slippy – at times I’ve walked in the road which is not a good idea either due to it’s narrowness and the volume of traffic that comes through. Clearly I needed to be wearing something more sensible. Thankfully, Hotter shoes have…

November Outfits Post #WIWT
November is always a busy month, because it is when the road to Christmas really begins. So this month has been filled with really lovely events, shows and parties which has been a great excuse to get into my second wardrobe. This is one that lives in my son’s room and contains my party wear, the clothes covered in sequins, sparkle and glitter. Because, if you can’t sparkle at this time of year, I’m really not sure when you can. As ever, I have tried to link to pieces that are in shops now, or have featured alternatives in similar styles, cuts and colours. My second wardrobe is one that…

Finding shoes and trainers with a wider fit.
There can be many reasons that you need to find shoes with a wider fit. It can be that your feet are genuinely wider and so require comfort and width. It can be that you are suffering from a foot condition, something like bunions, or hammertoes, something that can cause swelling of the feet, and therefore needs orthotic shoes. It can be that spending a lot of time on your feet makes your feet swell (something that used to happen to me all the time) so wider fit shoes are a better option. Whatever the reason, it is not always that easier to find the styles you like in a…

Reviewed – Carlito Quinn Boots from Brantano
[affilinet_performance_ad size=468×60] Now we are firmly ensconced in the season of cold and frosty weather, a good pair of boots is a must. My checklist when it comes to boots is that they must look great, be really comfortable and be I tend to go for leather (even though I love suede with a passion, you need at least one pair of leather boots for the really wet weather.) Also, I tend to agree with Victoria Beckham when it comes to heels. Brantano have a great range of ladies ankle boots including a lot of designs with heels that would look great with a dress or jeans. My current favourites…
