Duchess Kate looks fab in Jaeger
Today I was, more than ever, envious of the Duchess of Cambridge, as she got to spend the morning with the totally swoonsome Sir Ben Ainslie, one of my top crushes. Kate was attending a breakfast reception at the National Maritime Museum in support of Britain’s bid to host the America’s Cup in 2017. The Duchess opted to wear a beautiful, nautical coloured dress from Jaeger. This dress created another online stampede. It was in the current Jaeger sale, reduced to £99, and was, this morning, available in all sizes. Then the images emerged of Kate looking cool and chic in the white and navy dress, and, of course, it…

Reviewed – The Bramley Tote from Pink Lining
The second review in my ‘life begins at 40 week’ concerns a gorgeous bag from the ultimate ‘Yummy Mummy’ company Pink Lining. The Bramley Tote, in the navy bows colour option, is the bag that I will be using at the airport for my upcoming holiday – it is spacious, wipe clean and just so pretty. Pink Lining is a company that puts the ‘yummy’ into ‘yummy mummy’, not least because it often uses cupcakes as a motif on its wide range of bags. The company produces a collection of bags that are perfect for moms on the go, and are particularly well known for the change bags that come…

Celebrity fashion with Jenna Louise Coleman, Lucy Watson and Amanda Holden
This week, the celebrity style focus ranges from the casual to the sleek. There is a look at some of the Style for Stroke t-shirts that will be raising valuable funds for stroke research and have been designed by a host of well-known names from TV and music. These casual looks will be perfect for festival season. A complete contrast are the beautiful dresses worn by Amanda Holden and Loose Women’s Jane Moore which are definitely perfect for a night out. Amanda’s dress is from Gorgeous Couture and shows just how amazing she is looking at the moment. Jane’s dress is a Wallis look and comes in a range of…

Fashion World Review – Lace Skater Dress
It’s the final stretch, I have only 7 days left of being in the flirty thirties and then I officially enter the naughty forties. I have to say it’s not something I entirely relish. I loved my thirties far more than my twenties, it’s the decade that saw me get married, become a mom, reach a pinnacle in one career, and then change it for something entirely different. It saw me continue to travel, interview some famous people, achieve many things from the bucket list and basically have a lot of fabulous times that I will never, ever forget. But life supposedly begins at forty, and so I’m ready to…

Jaeger A/W Press Day – Raiding the Archives
When a company is celebrating 130 years in business, it is a fair bet to say that their archives would be rich in quality and style, and totally ripe for modern re-invention. That is the story that was on display at the Jaeger A/W press day that took place last month in a rather lovely part of London. Jaeger had decided to look ‘back to the future’ for its latest collections, finding key pieces from the past, and then tweaking the designs for 21st century sensibilities. The original pieces were shown on a brown mannequin, with the modern interpretation being shown on a white mannequin. I have to say that…
