Dress Review – The Tove cotton dress from Gudrun Sjoden
Continuing with today’s rather dressy theme, this blog post is dedicated to reviewing a rather beautiful dress from one of my favourite brands, Gudrun Sjoden. It is just a shame that as I write this, the weather has turned decidedly cold and wet, but the Tove dress is one that brings a lovely touch of Summer to your wardrobe, but can luckily look just as good worn with opaque tights and a chunky cardigan. The Tove dress is one of my favourites from the current ‘Women in Art’ collection. In the publicity campaign, this was styled as a mismatch of colours and patterns, a style which was typically Gudrun. But…

Reviewed Boohoo Lou Slim Boyfriend Jeans
As I have previously blogged, I am on the hunt for the perfect jeans for girls with curvy figures. I want jeans that hug and enhance, rather than give the sausage effect by being too tight. I want jeans that don’t roll down my stomach leaving me hitching them up all day (so not a good look), and I want jeans that fit my legs without being too long – hence needing to be turned up, or too short. So far I have found one pair of jeans that I love (from F&F – check out that review here.) Now I turn my attention to a slim Boyfriend jean from…

Trend focus – Coloured shoes
One of the easiest ways to get colour into your wardrobe is through accessories. Brightly coloured handbags and stylish scarfs are certainly one way to brighten up a simple outfit, but my favourite way to add colour to my wardrobe is through shoes. And it seems that this is a popular trend at present. A whole host of stylish celebrities have shown how a bright shoe can transform an outfit into somthing special. Molly Sim and Nikki Reed have used reddish tones to add interest to black trousers, whilst America Ferrara and Cobie Smulders have opted for bubblegum pinks to contrast against their evening attire. I particularly love America wearing…

Celebrity Get the Look featuring Emma Watson, Jessica Alba and Alison Williams
Today’s Get the Look is more about ideas to get a similar look, rather than finding the identical items wore by the stars. That said, we still have a few actual ‘get the looks’ from The One Show’s Alex Jones, a lady who always seems to spark early evening discussions about ‘where did she get that?’ on Twitter. Shall we make a start? Let’s begin the sartorial tour through a few sought after looks. Alex Jones wears Ted Baker and Wallis I have to say I’m a huge fan of Alex’s smart, but laid back style. Recently she wore this gorgeous, ruffle sleeved top from Ted Baker on The One…
