Yesterday I braved the snow and ice for a very special launch event that was taking place in Birmingham. In the glamorous confines of the In House Bar in Birmingham’s House of Fraser, the Aegon Classic Ladies Day was officially launched with Bucks Fizz, canapes and a very glamorous ambassador. The very beautiful Michelle Heaton from Liberty X was unveiled as the official face of this years ladies day, and a more wonderful and apt person could not have been chosen. The Aegon Classic Ladies Day is on it’s way back to Brum!
It was the most glamorous sporting occasion on the Midlands calender last year, and has proved so successful it is coming back for a second time this June. The Ladies’ Day at the Aegon Classic has been announced as taking place on Thursday 13 June at the Edgbaston Priory Club. This is only the second ever Ladies’ Day at the Aegon Classic, and organisers promise that this year it is coming back even bigger and better than in 2012. Gok Wan for Sainsburys – Latest Collection
The latest collection from Gok Wan is set to launch in Sainsburys stores on Thursday, and it is quite a departure from previous ranges. Where past Gok Tu collections have been very body conscious, with curve hugging dresses, pencil skirts, and flattering wide leg trousers, the new range seems to have taken influence from the high-fashion, sports luxe designs of Alexander Wang, with a bit of scuba dress design a la Philip Armstrong thrown in for good measure.
