New Look Press Day S/S 15
Today there has been snow, and I have to say the appearance of the white stuff has got me thinking more and more about Spring. How I long for Spring – light nights, warm days, cut grass and daffodils, all things I love and dream about on these cold, frosty mornings. But as I can’t have Spring for some time yet, I will turn to the next best thing – Spring Fashion, with a focus on some of the most anticipated lines from high street fave New Look. The New Look press day took place at the end of November, on a dull drizzly day. I felt a little unwell…

Friday shopping focus
This Friday I’m bringing a mixed bag of fashion. The sales really are on their last legs, but this is often the best time to shop since the savings to be made are at their highest levels. You can pick up things that will slot straight into your winter wardrobe, and also buy investment pieces that you will be able to keep for a special occasion (or even for next year’s Christmas parties if you really like planning ahead). You can also enjoy some of the newest drops in fashion land with the latest collections. It may be the grotty weather, with its cold and dark days, but I’m enjoying…

Halloween – Choose your icons at New Look
Without doubt, one of my favourite nights of the year is Halloween. A little bit of spooky fun in the middle of Autumn, Halloween allows us all to embrace everything that is dark, gothic and just that little bit frightening. Whether you are planning to take the little ones ‘trick or treating’, are holding your very own Halloween party, or if you’re just enjoying a cosy night in front of the fire, a little bit of spectral magic is definitely worth adding to your wardrobe. But mention Halloween clothing to most women and you will get serious shudders. Halloween has become associated with a particular nasty brand of shop -tat…

The Kingfisher Blogger challenge
I was recently asked if I would be interested in taking part in the Kingfisher Shopping centre £50 blogger challenge. The brief is very simple, can you get an outfit for a particular event or theme for just £50. The opportunity to spend the afternoon guilt free shopping was too good to turn down, and I said yes straight away. Kingfisher shopping centre, in the heart of Redditch, is not a shopping centre I had ever visited before Monday. And, whilst it is no Bullring, I would definitely recommend it for an afternoon’s shop without the huge crowds of Birmingham. Kingfisher has a great variety of High Street names, from…

New Look Press Day
New Look are one of the most popular and consistent of all high street retailers, producing collection after collection of great clothes, and accessories ranges that now, in my opinion, rival anything that the High Street (and some designer collections) have to offer. The recent New Look press day was an eclectic mixture of glorious jewellery, accessories that belied their High Street roots, and a clothing collection that was more dressed down than dressed up, and showed influences that ranged from Debbie Harry and punk, to Vivienne Westwood and pearlie kings and queens. There was much to admire and enjoy. Jewellery The statement necklace has is something that New Look…
