October Outfits Post
October was a lovely busy month, and, as much as I hate the coming of Winter, October was also a fairly pleasant and mild month. I was able to still leave the tights off for most of the month so that was a bonus, and I avoided jeans as much as I could – another bonus. I was busy with some lovely events that gave me a few chances for dressing up, including my mom’s 60th birthday which we celebrated in a rather lovely Italian restaurant, and saw me nab that Topshop cold shoulder dress that I’d spotted, and fell in love with in the window of Outfit in West…

September Outfits Post
This week’s Friday Fashion focus is centred around the outfits that I wore in September. It’s the usual mixture of new items, charity shop and car boot finds (my Eastex jacket which I have tracked to the 1970s and am just a bit in love with at the moment) and pieces from my wardrobe that I have dug out, or seem to wear a lot. August Outfit Post
August is, without doubt, one of my favourite months of the year. I get to spend quality time with Joe, enjoy lazyish days (as I work all through the night I might add) and then spend some time with my family in Wales. And this year, Wales actually had sunshine, which was lovely, and quite possibly a miracle! The wardrobe choices in August reflected the weather, and, as ever, featured wardrobe faves which highlight why buying classic pieces is always a good move. The black floral dress from F&F has been making regular appearances for the past couple of years, as have my trusty 70s style Clarks tan sandals. There…

Dorothy Perkins – New season hero buys
It is August, and still the height of Summer, so, with the prospect of a bit of a heatwave on the way, it seems the perfect time to look towards…Autumn. But, on a serious note, the Autumn collections are starting to make their way into stores and online, as the last of the summer sales are swept away and stores bring in new trends, colours and styles. Dorothy Perkins has a superb collection that is full of hero buys and style classics. Their ‘Fashion Favourites Collection’ is heavy on effortless, classic style that is designed to last and be worn again and again, rather than on fashion that will last…

Maxi dress style – Perfect for Summer
The calendar says that it is Summer, but standing outside today watching Joe play football in biting wind, I’m not so sure. But one thing I am sure of is that it is maxi dress season. Confused, well let me explain. Maxi dresses have become a real summer staple, one that suit woman of all shapes and sizes, and work for pretty much every occasion. You can buy them in regular, petite and plus size fits, in styles that come from strapless to long sleeved, in heavier jersey to the lightest of cotton. And this is what makes them perfect for English Summer, as well as throwing in that holiday…
