Enjoy a sun drenched fashion summer
My sister once had a theory that your favourite time of year related to the season you were born in. She has always loved Winter, despite the cold weather and short days, and was born on a very cold January day. I, on the other hand, just love a sun drenched summer, full of long hot days. Summer barbecues, days at the beach, lots of time in the garden, all of these are amongst my favourite things. It just so happens that I am a June baby, so maybe her theory carries some weight after all? I think part of my love for Summer comes from loving the summer wardrobe.…

In recent years, the Kimono has become an essential part of our summer wardrobes. New Look Inspire – True inspiration
Tube Skirts – they were such an 80s thing weren’t they. I remember seeing them everywhere as a child, ranging from cheap market efforts where women seemed unable to walk without great difficulty, to magazines filled with the likes of stunning supermodels in Azzedine Alaia. I think the comeback is due in part to the versatility of both wear and design. Tube skirt can now be anything from a mini to a maxi, and can be worn for pretty much any occasion.…

Wallis Blue Lace Shift Dress reviewed
My next review in my ‘life begins at 40’ series is the dress I actually wore for my birthday celebrations yesterday. It was gifted by one of my favourite brands, Wallis, and came in a stunning deep blue shade that my mom has long exclaimed to be ‘my colour’. The blue lace shift dress is a gorgeously vibrant 60s style frock. It has a double layer effect, with a sort of crocheted lace top layer, and then a stretchy block underlayer. With no buttons or zips, this is a style you simply put over your head, and the nature of the fabric means no ironing is required – making this…

Reviewed – The Bramley Tote from Pink Lining
The second review in my ‘life begins at 40 week’ concerns a gorgeous bag from the ultimate ‘Yummy Mummy’ company Pink Lining. The Bramley Tote, in the navy bows colour option, is the bag that I will be using at the airport for my upcoming holiday – it is spacious, wipe clean and just so pretty. Pink Lining is a company that puts the ‘yummy’ into ‘yummy mummy’, not least because it often uses cupcakes as a motif on its wide range of bags. The company produces a collection of bags that are perfect for moms on the go, and are particularly well known for the change bags that come…
