Warm And Cosy Looks With Femme Luxe + Competition Time

Summer. Hmmm! It’s not been the best so far as it? For every lovely warm and sunny day, we seem to be getting a lot of wet and rainy ones, and I’ve even read of statuses on Twitter where people are talking of putting on their central heating. In July folks, July.

Which may be why I’, already thinking towards Autumn, and pieces that can work in my wardrobe as transitional. Shops are full of lovely Summer frocks, but as I found myself back in jeans last week I’m just not sure I want to buy anymore. Luckily Femme Luxe are once again on top form for stylish pieces of loungewear and co-ord sets that come in a range of colours and comfortable fabrics, and will definitely be wearable both now, and come September.

The outfit that I have recently chosen from Femme Luxe though is one which shows that the brand is not just about loungewear and jogging suits. The two pieces in question are more dressy and directional, and can be worn together, or paid with other pieces to make other outfits. They are perfect for cooler days and for Autumn styling, and can be dressed up with heels and a cute clutch, or worn with trainers and a bum bag for a more street/casual style.

The Black High Waisted PU Leggings are absolutely perfect for those who prefer their leggings to hide their tummy area. Unlike many items that proclaim to be high waisted, these actually are, and have a lovely thick waistband that helps them to stay up (another issue I sometimes have with leggings.). The leggings have a soft feel and are not skin tight, so they are easy to put on. I am wearing a size 16, but would now probably size down to a 14 as they are generously sized and I would like them a little tighter.

I teamed them with a kitten heel in animal print but would also definitely wear them with trainers. I also added in another Femme Luxe piece, a knitted dress. The Cream Knitted Bat Wing Mini Jumper Dress is super cute. The batwing detail is subtle, not an 80’s throwback style that usually comes to mind when we say batwing, and the stylish ribbing of the collar, cuffs and waistband give this dress a real shape, rather than being slouchy and sloppy like jumper dresses can sometimes be.

Online, this is worn by a super sexy girl and is worn as a mini dress with heels. I wouldn’t wear my dress like this, but rather as a clingy, over long jumper, and would definitely add leggings of some variety, but this is obviously a personal choice (If I had her legs I would definitely wear this as a dress!). I am wearing a size xl in this, which is a size 14, and it is a really comfortable fit. I added some layered necklaces to my look, but think you could also add a scarf for a more casual look.

 

This is a classic colour palette which you will be able to accessorise with a range of different colours, almost a blank canvas for your choice. Red would be particularly good, as would a classic animal print shoe or scarf.
