Kate wears Ralph Lauren to visit Centrepoint.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Centrepoint yesterday, and the informal visit showed that like her sister Pippa, Kate is rather partial to a polo necked dress. The dress was by Ralph Lauren, and was from the Blue Label Collection. A wool/cashmere mix, this dress had featured on Fashion-Mommy in November when it was shown in a post about Pippa’s blue polo neck dress. A snapshot of my seasonal buys.
I don’t usually write posts about my own personal shopping habits, but this year I have found myself having to be a bit frugal in my choices due to having much less disposable funds that usual. Kate at the Millies..So stunning in McQueen
I love velvet at Christmas, every year I dig out a vintage black velvet Laura Ashley skirt to wear over the festive season. It just seems the perfect fabric to wear at this time of year – luxurious, expensive and a little bit baroque. So I was overjoyed tonight to see the Duchess of Cambridge chose a black velvet Alexander McQueen gown for The Military Awards. This is definitely amongst my favourite Kate looks ever. The exquisite gown was strapless, with a fantail style hemline, and had a feel of Lady Diana Spencer at Goldsmith Hall in 1981 to it. Diana was criticised on that occasion for showing too much…
