Dower and Hall welcome the new season in sparkle
Eminent British jewellery designers Dower and Hall turned thoughts to the season of glitter and sparkle when they showcased their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection in London last month. Showcasing a collection that ranged from Vintage inspired pieces to the thoroughly modern, Dower and Hall showed just why they are celebrating 30 years in the business. Every single piece of jewellery was beautiful in its own way, but as with every collection, there were some standouts. My particular standout was the brand new Chintz collection, which is not available yet, but is sure to be very popular. A stunning mixture of sterling silver with an openwork design, paired with a sea-glass Opalite,…

Louis Vuitton channels Elizabeth Taylor for the new season
Flicking through my September Issue of Vogue, I found that I just kept turning the pages back to look at the stunning images from the Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign. Made up of stunning photographs showing the likes of Karen Elson and Gisele Bundchen, almost unrecognisable in black wigs. Evans Celebrate the new season with a competition
I want to start this post with a simple, but truthful, statement. The new collection from Evans is just amazing. There, I’ve said it, and will not be taking it back anytime soon. There are just so many things that I have added to my mental shopping list, items that make you want to go shopping RIGHT NOW. The luxurious lace edit is simply exquisite, showing that lace can be a daytime or evening option, and also proving that whilst black lace is a classic, gothic option, coloured varieties are not to be ignored. I love the idea of a lace blazer being teamed with peg leg trousers and a…

Afternoon tea at Hotel La Tour
An invitation to sample the latest delights of the Hotel La Tour Best of British Afternoon tea menu is one that simply cannot be refused. So, last Tuesday, taking my mom along as a special treat, I paid a visit to what is fast becoming the destination in Birmingham for ladies who lunch in style. Hotel La Tour is a beautiful, independent hotel in the heart of the city. It manages to cleverly combine it’s very modern design with the element of cosiness that makes it the perfect venue for enjoying a girlie catch-up, with sumptuous cocktails and delicious deserts thrown in for good measure. We were there to sample…

Teen Choice awards – My favourite looks
The Teen Choice awards are always an excuse for young Hollywood’s stars of television, music and film to have a bit of fun with fashion. This means we get to see a little too much skin, outfits sometimes more suited to the beach, and looks more akin to outfits chosen for ‘the mall’ or a barbecue than those you normally see on a red carpet. And this means I often struggle to see looks that I actually like. But there are always stars who buck the trend and show off choices that are definitely A*. Here are my three favourite looks this year, and a few ideas on how you…
