January Star style, featuring Madonna, Pippa, Angelina and a whole lot more.
The January blues that make the majority of us want to hibernate until at least April don’t worry the most stylish stars. For them, January signifies the start of awards season, which of course means dresses, dresses, dresses. (Unless you’re Tilda Swinton when it means trousers!). So here are some of my favourites from Palm Springs, Critics Choice and the National Board of review awards, just to get you in the mood for Sunday’s Golden Globes. And just to prove that sensational dressing is not confined to awards ceremonies, we have the best dresses from the W.E premiere…and Pippa rocking amazing Markus Lupfer. Spoiling you?…Of course, but you are so…

Terry De Havilland shines at Sarenza
Hi shoes have been beloved by the coolest of celebrities for more than 40 years. He’s known as the Rock and Roll Cobbler, and, in 1972, he created the now iconic Margaux wedge, a shoe so beautiful that Kate Moss is still wearing it 40 years later. He is Terry De Haviland, and his new shoe collection is now available at Sarenza. This is an amazing collection of must-have shoes that stay close to Terry’s rock and roll roots. New Look embrace the Grunge Rock trend.
If you admire the style of grungy rock chicks like Agyness Deyn, Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof, then New Look needs to be added to your style destination list. Channelling the style of those glam girls who always add a bit of a rock edge to their wardrobes, New Look has mixed midi and maxi skirts with brothel creeper brogues that keep the look to the grunge side of feminine. New Look say ‘Look to London style icon’s Pixie Geldof and Agyness Deyn for inspiration. Whether they are dressed up to the nines on the red carpet or trawling the bars of Camden, both girls work the look with natural ease.’ As…

Next embraces the Year of the Wedge.
Kate Middleton wears them, Pippa wears them, Kate Moss and Samantha Cameron wear them. They have been fashionable in almost every decade since the 1930s. And now I declare that 2012 will be the year of the wedge. Yes wedge heels will be with us in a big way, and it all starts now. Next have just launched their Spring/Summer catalogue which contains wedges of all varieties, from the raffia and straw sandal, to the modern city wedges that are the perfect work shoe. There are bright, vibrant extreme wedges that could induce vertigo in the faint-hearted, to nude and natural shades that are so beloved of Pippa Middleton. Wedges are…

Queens of Daytime Sequins
One of the nicest things about the festive season is the chance to wear sequins and glitter in daylight hours. Over the Christmas period I have sparkled like a Christmas tree most days, without feeling self conscious or silly. But I’m now thinking that daytime sparkle is the way to go. January is such a dull, depressing month full of Christmas malaise that it seems the perfect way to brighten up the bleak midwinter days is by adding a touch of daytime sparkle to your outfits. Many key fashion icons already adhere to daytime sparkle. Kate Moss adds it to all her festival looks, whilst Anna Della Russo sparkles on…
