Zara Phillips makes a stunning and modern bride.
This month started with a rather dodgy royal wedding in Monaco, but ended with an utterly charming one in Edinburgh. Zara Phillips today wed her rugby star fiance Mike Tindall at the beautiful Canongate Kirk in Scotland, and she looked absolutely amazing. Zara opted for an off-the-peg dress, rather than a bespoke creation. The dress was by Stewart Parvin, and was a simple yet elegant design of ivory satin and tulle. It featured a concealed corset and had a bell-shaped skirt. She wore this with a neat chignon in her hair and the Meander tiara, with its distinctive Greek key design. Selfridges – White Christmas leaves me feeling all festive.
Last Thursday saw the press day to celebrate the launch of Selfridges Christmas department. This year the theme is White Christmas, and Fashion-Mommy was able to have a sneaky peak at all the exquisite gifts that will be on offer for the festive season. Terry Di Haviland – The Rock & Roll Cobbler celebrates 50 years in shoe business.
The self-styled Rock & Roll Cobbler is celebrating 50 years in the business with a special pop-up exhibition in London’s Selfridges. I have been a fan of Terry ever since I saw a glossy and groomed Kate Moss wearing his wedges on one of her famous birthday celebrations. I fell instantly in love with the shoes, but not being able to afford the £300+ pricetag, I searched the High Street for…

The sales are still in full swing in a town centre near you, but I always think it is exciting when we start to see a glimpse of the new season’s looks. New colours, new fabrics, different shapes and lengths all go to make shopping that little bit more exciting. So, Fashion-Mommy is going to start previewing the upcoming season by starting with a sneak peek at the collection of one of the High Street‘s most fabulous independents – White Stuff. I am a great fan of White Stuff, there always seems to be a quirky side to its designs that I find so appealing. In addition, the attention to…

How Pippa Middleton solved the tricky dilemma of dressing for British Summer!
The British Summer. Not great, is it? One minute you’re basking in glorious sunshine, the next minute you routing through your bag for a brolly! Even the hottest days have a tendency to go cool that catches you by surprise. But one style star seems to have British Summertime dressing down to a tee. Step forward Pippa Middleton.
