Charity Shop Shopping Haul
Sometimes a shopping haul can be a trip to a shopping centre or a department store. Sometimes in can be a night of filing an online shopping bag full of items, in many cases not actually reaching the checkout. And sometimes it can mean a trip to a local town with a good selection of charity shops, where you find lots of bargains that range from designer, to good quality High Street, and a bit of vintage thrown in for good measure, and you end up spending less than £25. This is one of those occasions. A morning away from the computer, making the most of a touch of Indian…

Autumn Fashion Preview at House of Fraser
It is been an exciting time for House of Fraser this September, especially when it comes to fashion. New collections have been coming in across the store, with some gorgeous pieces in the Iconic Biba range and the revamped Linea. But the brand that has drawn the most press and excitement has been the return to fashion of Danielle Heleyal, and her brand Issa. Issa became a household name after Kate Middleton wore their blue dress for her engagement to Prince William. Now the brand is back with a classic range of dresses for House of Fraser. August Outfit Post
It has to be said that I love August. Getting to have some quality time with my little boy is always a pleasure, plus it is also the month of my wedding anniversary, and we spend at least one week in Wales enjoying Summer. So whilst, in weather terms, it was far from a scorcher, there were still lots of opportunities to have a lot of family fun, and, with a few events thrown into the mix, it is a month that I’m already missing, especially as Autumn has arrived with cold, winds and lots of rain. In terms of fashion, there were a few new additions to my wardrobe,…

With London Fashion Week in full flow, it is sometimes hard to believe that an industry that is perceived to be shallow and vanity based can also be doing something good for the planet. But the 21st Century has seen the rise of recycling, re-using and sustainability when it comes to all areas of our shopping lives, and that includes fashion. We re-use out plastic carrier bags, or better style buy an eco bag, we look for organic cottons and fabrics, and there has been a push to buy British to reduce our carbon footprint. Even the most stylish of fashion parties can now be environmentally friendly, with companies like…

Gudrun Sjoden Belem Dress
I will never stop being a fan of the wonderful Gudrun Sjoden. Whilst the rest of the High Street is embracing minimalism and neutrals, Gudrun takes one look and says ‘no, not for me’ and instead treats us to a riot of pattern and colour, in high quality organic cottons that allow us to stretch, move and breathe. A fashion maverick in the vein of Westwood, Betsey Johnson and Pam Hogg, Gudrun’s slice of Scandinavian style is one to love and embrace. I’ve been a fan of Gudrun since I discovered the brand at a Varg press day a fair few years ago, and each season I add a few…
