Shoezone Lilley Patent Heeled Bar Shoe
The Autumn collection from Shoezone contains a pair of shoes that could’ve come straight for a vintage chest stored in granny’s attic. Black, buckled, patent with a dainty shaped heel, the Lilley patent heeled bar shoe is one of my favourite bargains of the new season, a pair of shoes you can wear anywhere – one which I am already living in. As I get older I find my heels are getting lower (with the exception of Westwood Melissa’s, and my shoe lust haves from Charlotte Olympia which continue to soar like skyscrapers). For daytime wear, or evening occasions where a lot of time will be spent standing up, my…

Get gorgeous designer shoe style with Next
Ever seen the most amazing designer shoe, and then clocked the not so amazing price tag? Have you ever had your heart set on getting a beautiful pair of shoes for a very special occasion, then finding the ones you really want are just out of reach in terms of cost? I’m getting the distinct impression that the design team at Next have had similar problems, because so many shoes from their fabulous Autumn/Winter collection could well have come from the sketchpad of some of the shoe design masters. It seems that if you love your designer shoes without the designer pricetag, you need to step this way (to pardon…

Brit Girl focus from Boden
With London Fashion Week well under way, tonight’s fashion post focuses on a brand that is well on its way to becoming a British institution itself. Yes, I could only be talking about Boden, with its emphasis on cool British style and wearable trends that are influenced by a range of decades, eras and style icons. Looking through the new in section, there is definitely an emphasis on comfort as well as luxury. Boden want you to be cosy and snug and warm, but at the same time, they want the Boden woman to look stylish and elegant, even as the temperatures start to take a tumble. And so we…

F&F New Season Picks
The latest drop from F&F, fresh for Autumn 15, is now arriving in stores, and the 70s influence is apparent. Called Modern Retro, the collection is full of wide legged trousers, suede, fringes and muted colours that come straight from the decade that has had a style re-evaluation in recent times. The collection is rather lovely, I see an influence from the cool retro looks of Rosie Fortescue and Millie Mackintosh in the use of faux fur and wide brimmed hats. Many of the trends from last summer are still here, but have been remoulded for the colder weather Autumn/Winter brings. So we are still seeing fabulous cullotes, both in…

Ladbrokes Bingo Fashion Week – Vote for me.
London Fashion Week is almost upon us. Yes the venues are being set up as we speak, and excitement amongst the fashionista’s, the front rowers and the bloggers is almost unbearable. Fashion Week is the most gorgeous and glamorous event to hit London and I am very pleased to say that, this season, I have a small role in it through a competition that I am taking part in with Ladbrokes Bingo. I have been tasked to create a perfect outfit for London Fashion Week with a virtual budget of £200. The outfit can come from any online/High Street store, but must not exceed the budget. Everything else is down…
