Get the Celebrity look featuring Rita Ora, Lily Collins and Millie Mackintosh
The latest ‘get the look’ post has a bit of a best of British feel to it. It includes some celebrity looks from London Fashion Week, stars of daytime television who show just how stylish the High Street can be, and a diversity of footwear ranging from boots to trainers. We have Rita Ora’s collaboration with Adidas, the ‘Pastel Pack’, a trainer and hi-top that come in deliciously girlie shades of pink and blue. Reviewed – Retro Shoes from Naturalizer
When I was a little girl, there was always something a little bit risque about red shoes. They had an edge of danger, and of glamour and beauty. From Norma Shearer dancing her heart out in The Red Shoes, to David Bowie telling us to put on our red shoes and dance the blues, red shoes were grown up, graceful and sexy. There were a couple of formal, black tie events taking place whilst we were on board, events that called for a special evening gown. Now, I’d given birth just 8 months earlier and was not feeling particularly glam or body confident, so I needed a dress that would make me feel beautiful, if only for a night. The brand I turned to was Gina Bacconi, a brand who understand about glamour and can dress curvy figures. I have to say I loved my dress and how it made me feel. Flash forward five years and…

An evening at the races – a few styling tips
A few months ago I received a very exciting invitation – would I like to be a judge at the Wolverhampton Races Ladies Evening event taking place at Dunstall Park on September 6th. I must admit I felt really honoured to be asked, and under a little bit of pressure to sort my own outfit. The role of judge is to help pick the best dressed, to find the best hat on display, and to see who could give Carrie Bradshaw a run for her money in the best shoe department. My outfit is now sorted (a gorgeous Gina Bacconi dress that will be showcased on the blog next week),…
