Art Deco style Sofas for the new season
We’ve been living in out house for 12 years this August, and despite being decorated throughout in those years, we have made a checklist of things that need buying, replacing and renovating in 2015. Our dining room needs painting and decorating, we want to revamp our bedroom (the most neglected room in our home) and we really could do with a new sofa or three piece suite. We had our current sofa just before Joe was born, so it is now 6 years old. It has been a great sofa, serviceable black leather, with a boxy, slouchy style made for covering in scatter cushions and relaxing on. But a…

Friday fashion focus – shoes!
Today’s first post is inspired by the picture above that Asda George posted to it’s Twitter feed yesterday. I absolutely fell in love with these Court shoes, the Ice Cream sorbet colours and classic style had my longing for Spring and the chance to ditch the tights and grab a bit of pretty again. In adddition, the £12 price tag is one that is hard to beat – at that price you could treat yourself to both colours and not feel that guilty. So this post is dedicated to even more shoe porn. My Fort Shopping Challenge
The Fort Shopping Centre is a Birmingham Shopping Destination that offers more than 40 stores and restaurants including Debenhams, New Look, Evans and JD Sports. I was recently asked if I wanted to take part in a special blogger challenge that Fort had planned. Could I put together a capsule outfit for the new year for £50? I obviously jumped at the chance! So last Saturday I made my way to The Fort. After a lovely lunch at the Harvester Restaurant, I left Pete and Joe to look around the sports shops whilst I searched for a great outfit. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted, but did know that…

Outfit post – January Review
I always think January is a strange month, the long comedown after the excitement of Christmas. My January consisted of trying to catch up with blogs after the break I decided to take over Christmas, and also attending events as the social calender started to take off again. This post is a bit of a mix of some of the outfits I wore for both casual and more formal occasions during the start to the year. You will see some ever presents in the images. The yellow coat is my absolute fave at the moment, one of my Christsmas presents that cost just £25 from Primark and is already heading…

Sophie Ellis Bextor is the face of Phase Eight
If ever there was a match made in fashion heaven, it is the teaming up of the gorgeous and stylish Sophie Ellis Bextor with the home of feminine fashion Phase Eight. If I was choosing a face for Phase Eight, then Sophie would definitely be the top of the list. The queen of vintage styling is perfect for the vintage style prints and antique lace dresses that Phase Eight is famous for. The new campaign featuring Sophie is just stunning, featuring soft focus photographs of the beautiful Singer wearing a series of really lovely dresses, many featuring floral prints that are just so perfect for Spring. The photographs themselves draw…
