Comfort vs. Style: Is There a Middle Ground?
A new pair of shoes has the unexplainable power to make you feel boldly confident, femininely sexy, and solidly brave. The right pair of shoes can lengthen legs, make you appear taller and showcase to the world your own personal design style. Finding the right pair can be difficult though. The variety of shoes available on the market is so vast that even the most experienced shopper can be overwhelmed. With all the choices available, the question has to be asked; which is more important: style or comfort? And do you have to choose? It’s sometimes difficult to comprehend why women wear shoes that are uncomfortable, especially when you hear…

All I want for Christmas is shoes
The title is no festive jest, as a confirmed shoe-holic, whenever I’m asked what I would like for Christmas, another image of footwear immediately pops into my head. Everything from Ash style wedge trainers, comfortable ankle boots for the school run, heeled boots for the weekend and something heeled and sexy for date night with hubby, I frankly find it hard to meet a pair of shoes or boots that I don’t like. Dancing Shoes inspired by Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing rules the Saturday night television in my house. I love everything about it. The mix of celebrities are perfect, the dances inspired, the costumes are never less than fabulous, and, of course I’m in love with the fabulous dancing shoes. Morning School Run – The First Catwalk of the Day
Gone are the days when mums did the school run in their pyjama bottoms and slippers with no makeup on. Mums are now glamming up for their daily trips to the school yards to drop their kids off. It doesn’t mean rolling up in the most up to date car, but also strutting down the school playground in heels, the latest designer handbag or face of makeup. The school playgrounds have now become a hub for mums to showcase their latest fashion items to compete with other mums in the yummy mummy contest. I’m sure that the kids couldn’t care less whether mummy has Dior lipstick on instead on MAC…

Shoes – These are a few of my favourite brands
When it comes to choosing my favourite shoes, I must admit that I admire a great many brands. Certain companies seem to excel in producing a certain sort of shoe, and so when you are choosing new shoes, it pays to go to an expert. For classic Mary Jane styles, I always look to Hush Puppies, who take the sensible heel and strap and then add colour and a retro-inspired elegance to them. When looking for a flat shoe that offers comfort with chic ballerina styling I look to French Sole, beloved by Kate Middleton, and certainly more reasonably priced than Pretty Ballerina’s (which I also love incidentally, but my bank…
