Reviewed – Poppy Print Dress from Scarlett and Jo
I’ve been a fan of Scarlett and Jo ever since I saw that gorgeous picture of some gorgeous plus size bloggers wearing the Side panel dress. My thoughts were immediately – ‘here is a company who understands that curvier ladies want something to enhance their figures rather than hide them.’ I then got the chance to meet the lovely ladies at the Plus Size Fashion Weekend, and was again really impressed by the brand ethos and the stylish pieces they were producing. So when I was asked if I would like to review the Poppy Print dress, it really wasn’t an difficult decision. If you can shout YES over an…

Holly Willoughby for Very.
I love Holly Willoughby. She’s a gorgeous lady who I personally think always comes across well on the TV. Warm and compassionate on This Morning, funny and with a great sense of fun on Celebrity Juice, she always seems like the kind of girl you’d be happy to drink cocktails and gossip with. And then of course, she’s ultra interested in fashion. Holly has recently launched her latest collection for Very, a range that she is happy to wear as part of her own wardrobe. And I can see why she would be happy to do that – it is just full of pretty, retro inspired designs that are crafted…

The Maxi dress – showing no signs of disappearing
The maxi dress was a fashion relic from the early hippy-dippy 70s that made a surprising re-appearance a few years ago, mainly off the coat-tails of the Boho revival. No-one really expected it to stick around, it was another Summer trend, a flash in the pan. Here today, gone tomorrow. But we were all proved very wrong. The Maxi dress proved to have a staying power that has made it a style classic. It is now a total staple of your summer wardrobe, perfect for packing in your holiday suitcase, providing you with an item that can switch between covering up your swimming costume apres swim, to providing evening glamour…

AX Paris for a night at the Dinosaurs
You may have noticed that each month I bring you a review of an item from the great plus size range from AX Paris, AX Curve. When I was first approached by AX Paris I was a little unsure about reviewing items from the range, I loved the collection, but wondered whether it would prove to be a little too young for me. I couldn’t have been further from the truth. AX Curve has proved to be gorgeous quality, totally wearable, and something that is versatile enough to span across the age groups. I have become a huge fan. The item I chose to review this month was the long…

Barbara Hulanicki for George – latest drop
I always get excited about a drop from the legendary designer Barbara Hulanicki for George at Asda, finding hard to believe that Barbara brings all that amazing expertise and iconic print styles to a supermarket for such amazing prices. The latest range is now available in stores and online, and it is another corker. Concentrating this time on a palette of grey, cream, red and classic black, Barbara has mixed prints that have a late 60s paisley style with some plain items that could easily become wardrobe staples. Key picks? For me, the cape sleeve little black dress is just gorgeous, and totally belies its £18 price tag, whilst the…
