What I wear – April Looks
Today I am taking a look back at some of the outfits I wore during the month of April. April was a busy month for me, as well as all the usual blogging events and family time, we also took an extended Easter break where I actually abandoned the blog for 10 whole days. April was also warm and sunny – the tights were abandoned for the first time this year and we even got to spend some time at the beach – a total break from the usual Easter wind and rain. This outfit post is mainly holiday outfits, with a few very special event looks thrown in for…

John Lewis Beach Safari edit
When it comes to colours and trends that sum up Summer perfectly, the colours, tones and patterns of safari style are pretty hard to beat. Jungle style prints and neutral beige, khaki and nude tones can easily transport you to a place of sun, sea and sand, even when you are feeling the heat in the city. John Lewis have launched summer with a style edit called ‘Beach Safari’. An eclectic mixture of John Lewis’s own collection and selected brands, this range is chocked full of animal prints, natural shades and simple clean lines. What makes this collection stand out from the general safari style looks is the addition of…

Topshop bring out the Riviera Style
With the Cannes Film Festival in full flow, I have decided to dedicate today’s fashion post to the style of the French Riviera, the effortless, glamorous looks that first came to prominence with Brigitte Bardot in the 1950s, and have then been embraced by every style icon since, from Jane Birkin and Audrey Hepburn to Diane Kruger and Michelle Williams. Breton stripes, straw hats, classic white cottons and gingham peddle pushers, Riviera style has been a classic look that has little changed since the days of Brigitte and Audrey Hepburn. But this season, Topshop has decided to put its own spin on Cannes style staples and have created a collection that…

Friday Fashion- Going Green with High Street Outlet
Recently, all my posts concerning adding colour to your wardrobe have been concerned with my favourite shade – yellow. But I genuinely love most colours, and find neutrals to be something I tend to avoid. Today I am continuing my series of great finds from High Street Outlet with a Per Una dress in the most vibrant shade of green. The Ex Per Una green floral wrap style dress is a lovely soft, stretch dress which is described as ‘a throw on and look lovely dress.’ I can only agree. The nature of the dress (no ironing – total result!) means that is really is the sort of dress you…

The perfect yellow dress from Kaliko
If there was any further evidence needed that sunshine yellow is the colour to be seen in this season, then the site of the Duchess of Cambridge emerging from hospital holding the gorgeous Princess Charlotte was all that just that. She looked amazing in a yellow floral print dress from Jenny Packham, and when, two nights later, I took a stunning yellow lace dress from Kaliko for a test drive, I was told I was wearing the ‘Middleton yellow.’ The double layer dress is a bit of a departure for Kaliko this season. Many of their dresses have a 1950s feel with full skirts and prom styles – they wouldn’t…
