It is London fashion week again and the fashionista’s are out in force. London Fashion Week, with its veritable band of stylish front rowers, always presents lots of covetable, fashion forward, looks. From head to toe, these are the ladies you look to for the trends for the next season. Today, I am looking at three ever stylish ladies, and in particular, at their footwear. These fashionista’s set trends, whatever they wear, and never look any less than perfect. Corrie Nielsen – Dorian Gray Inspiration
In November I was invited to the Forward PR press day. This was an eclectic mix of brands and designers that included the fabulous Lowie and the beautiful Autour d’un Point collection from Jasper Garvida. But perhaps the most innovative, unusual collection on display was that from Fashion Fringe 2010 winner Corrie Nielsen, Arbiter Elegantiarum – a judge or authority in matters of taste. Corrie’s Spring/Summer collection has its inspiration in both the darkly gothic beauty of The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the intricate Japanese pleating and folding associated with Origami. . The collection had a masculine basis, with Victorian men’s dress a key feature – tailored waistcoats and…

Style Icon of the Month September – Kate Moss
She’s been around what seems like forever, but she’s always in my heart when it comes to style, and this month, the newly married Kate Moss reappeared on the scene with a whole host of totally covetable looks, showing the young fashion upstarts that, when it comes to fashion and style, Kate still sets the bar pretty high. From high-octane glamour, to 1970s style double denim that seems to have been based on Anita Pallenburg at Nellcote 1972, Kate has worn a range of looks that have impressed. She has worn full length and fabulous gowns, little black cocktail dresses and even a jumpsuit once worn by Cheryl Cole, and…

A rare sighting of the lesser spotted Duchess of Cambridge
There was a rare sighting of the Duchess of Cambridge this weekend, as she attended…you’ve guessed it…yet another society wedding. Kate was attending the wedding of Harriet Colthurst and Thomas Sutton, and looked beautiful wearing a raspberry coloured lace dress by Collette Dinnigan with Prada heels. At first I thought the dress may have been another Erdum design, as it was similar in style to the navy lace dress that she wore when she touched down in Canada. I love Kate in this shade, it seriously enhances her colouring and highlights her brunette locks. Collette Dinnigan was an interesting choice, as she is South African born and Australian based, so,…

Stephanie Grace Foy – One to watch.
At the recent London Fashion Week I was lucky enough to meet and chat to Stephanie Grace Foy. A talented up and coming designer, I was intrigued by her collection ‘Longitude/Latitude’ which seemed to juxtaposedly be the most simple, yet also the most intricate of designs. This is a wonderful collection of ‘lighter than air’ pieces that are deceptive in their cool simplicity. Stephanie has a background as a freelance pattern cutter working for some of the best in the fashion business. Her CV includes pattern cutting for Mark Fast, Topshop Unique and Mario Schwab. Witnessing the inner workings of the design process led Stephanie to formulate ideas for her…
