Gaultier’s Amy Winehouse tribute
It has upset Mitch Winehouse, but I think that Jean Paul Gaultier’s couture collection for Spring 2012 is a fitting fashion tribute to Amy. Full of models sporting Amy beehives and dressed in clothes that echoed her inimitable style, this is a collection that inspired by and celebrating Amy at her gorgeous peak, sassy, sexy and glamorous. “I think Amy Winehouse was truly a fashion icon,” Gaultier says of the troubled star, who was found dead in July aged just 27. I totally agree with Gaultier. Amy oozed unique personal style and that is something that has had a profound influence on the way girls dress. Her collections for Fred Perry…

New Look embrace the Grunge Rock trend.
If you admire the style of grungy rock chicks like Agyness Deyn, Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof, then New Look needs to be added to your style destination list. Channelling the style of those glam girls who always add a bit of a rock edge to their wardrobes, New Look has mixed midi and maxi skirts with brothel creeper brogues that keep the look to the grunge side of feminine. Why this Winter is still all about Amy Winehouse
It is 5 months since we heard the tragic news that Amy Winehouse had died, and yet this December is turning into the months that is all about Amy. The launch of a new album, Lioness, which has skyrocketed straight to Number 1, the auction of the now iconic Disaya dress that was worn on the cover of Back to Black, and now the launch of the final collection for Fred Perry means the iconic singer is as much a part of the fashion/Music mainstream as she was at her height. The Disaya dress had been expected to sell for approximately £20,000,but in the event it went for more than…
