Style Focus – Millie Mackintosh
She is the current Queen of Made in Chelsea, the statuesque beauty with a killer wardrobe. Millie Mackintosh is the girl who just always seems to look perfect, whether dressed to the nines for red carpet events, or dressed down in jeans watching her current boyfriend Professor Green playing a gig in some muddy field. I’ve loved Millie’s style since the first series of Made in Chelsea, particularly the way she puts her outfits together mixing High Street favourites and designer pieces. She recently told Look magazine that she loves shops off the Kings Road like Austique or Biondi for ‘swimwear, maxis and accessories’. She has that groomed look…

The return of Paloma Faith
I am so pleased about the return of Paloma Faith, the quirkiest Goddess of music. I’m a huge fan of her music, love her live performances and her mad as a box of frogs persona, and I totally adore her off-the-wall personal style which amazes, amuses and grabs admiration in equal measures. In an era of stylists and perfection, Paloma offers something unique to the world of fashion. In many ways she is the natural heir to Isabella Blow’s throne, at the moment nobody can rock a fascinating (and sometimes bizarre) hat like Paloma can. She also uses the costumes of her previous careers in burlesque and as a magician’s…

Debenhams Press Day
Once upon a time, In the heart of Bloomsbury, there was a fashion fairy tale known as the Debenhams Press Day. A fairy tale that all who loved fashion wanted to be a part of, filled with sumptuous gowns, glorious heels and bags that I would frankly swap a handsome prince for. In addition, beauty fans were treated to a sneaky look at all the newest brands that will be on offer next season, and all who attend leave with a voucher to enjoy a treat from Debenhams latest range, ensuring the fairytale has a happy ever after. The Debenhams A/W 2012 collection scores High in the glamour stakes. The…

The Queen of Style
I was asked to speak on my local Radio station,BBC Radio WM, yesterday, about our Queen. In particular, I was asked to speak about her style, her designers and her clothes. Because, although she may not be the name you immediately think of when discussing stylish royals, the Queen is undoubtedly one very stylish lady, perfectly able to set trends, and one whose 1950s wardrobe was full of the most beautiful outfits that continue to inspire today. The first really iconic dress worn by our Queen was the wedding dress she wore to her 1947 wedding to Prince Philip. Designed by Norman Hartnell, this was a stunning blend of wedding…

Barbara Hulanicki’s latest drop for George – Jubilee fever
Barbara Hulanicki’s latest collection has arrived at Asda George, and it has a definite Jubilee feel to it. As regular readers of Fashion-Mommy know, I have great love for the Barbara Hulanicki and George collaboration. For a start, I love the very easy to wear designs that often come in stretch cotton or jersey. The collection is always hugely affordable and draws on Barbara’s iconic 60s and 70s designs for Biba. reviving beautiful prints for a new generation to enjoy. And I also think the collection always has something for everyone, from pretty skater style dresses to more sophisticated wrap styles. The latest collection is all about the red, white…
