Boohoo Autumn Preview – and an array of Summer maxi dresses
The Boohoo.com preview for Autumn/Winter 2014 was held at No1 Marylebone, and had a true summer holiday atmosphere. There were photo booths, hook a duck games, seaside style cut-outs for posing in, and a feast of sunny food and drink choices. But there was also fashion that looked forward to the cooler days of Autumn and Winter, and eclectic mix of prints, colours and fabrics. Reviewed – Boohoo Samantha Lace Mid Sleeve Top
Earlier this month I was excited to announce the launch of the first plus size range from Boohoo.com.(You can read that piece here.) The range had all the hallmarks of the regular Boohoo range – fashion forward looks that are also reasonably priced, but these pieces came in sizes up to size 24, adding another option to plus size dressing. As a lady who can easily wear anything from a size 16 to a size 20, it is always a thrill and a pleasure when a new range that caters for plus sizes is launched. It is really surprising that there are still so many ranges that stop at size 14, or stock, the smallest size 16s imaginable. Fast fashion brands are often the worst offenders for not having diversity in their sizes, meaning that many young girls are basically opted out of this affordable market – their sizes are simply not available. Last night saw the Q Awards, with some of the biggest names in music gathering to support the great and good as they collected hard earned awards. Robbie Williams, Jake Bugg and one of my 90s faves, Suede, were all at the event, but as with any awards ceremony, what I was really interested in was the fashion on show.
