For a few days at the end of last week, and the beginning of this, I got that Spring feeling. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. He gave her the lead role in his classic movie ‘The Birds’, a film where she showed a real talent for conveying the icy sensuality of the ice-cream blonde that Hitchcock was so impressed with, the stereotypical Hitchcock Blonde. She also had a stunning role as the beautiful kleptomaniac Marnie, opposite a young Sean Connery, again excelling in this difficult role. Wallis Autumn/Winter collection – Up close and personal.
Last week I was fortunate enough to be invited to a very special press day for one of my favourite High Street stores. Wallis were keen to showcase the beautiful collection for Christmas 2012, and were also giving bloggers the opportunity to try on some of their favourite pieces. Wallis have finally launched the much-anticipated Black Rose Collection, and it is simply stunning. The collection is made up of floor sweeping evening dresses that seem to have been inspired by the movie stars of the 1930s, think Constance Bennett and Rosalind Russell being wooed by Cary Grant and they would probably have been wearing dresses like these. Wallis – It’s all about the Jackets
Autumn is the time when we relinquish our bare arms and the jackets come out in force. The weather isn’t actually freezing yet, but we need something that can banish that definite chill that lingers in the air. We basically need a jacket.
