Duchess Kate – More Singapore looks to Savour
I have to say just how much I am enjoying the fashion odyssey currently being undertaken by the Duchess of Cambridge has she makes her way around Singapore. There have been no fashion recycled pieces yet, and with up to three changes of dress in a day, this makes exiting viewing for Kate watchers everywhere. The designer names she has worn so far are almost a who’s who of fashion at this moment, Jenny Packham, Prabal Gurung, Erdem, Alexander McQueen and Raoul have all been showcased to great effect, as the Duchess breezes through the unenviable task of looking stylish and keeping cool in very balmy conditions. (I went to…

Fashionable Feet
Wondering what the latest in footwear is going to be this autumn? The key word from designers and the couture shows converted to the high street is – fun! The over-the-top decoration of the summer styles is giving way to young, colourful, and glitzy styles, and enough choice for even the most demanding. Leisure styles favour the trainer-teamed-with-glitter look, so check out New Look for their black star stud lace-up high-top shoes online (pictured). Worn with slim-cut black cords, these look stunning. Boots have gone more basic, with a return to an emphasis on the chunky country-style, and the quality of leather. Colours are tan, dark brown and black,…

Perfect Petite Workwear from Precis
I often get emails from petite readers telling me what a minefield it is to find stylish petite clothing that not only looks great, but fits great too. The majority of readers bemoan the fact that petite ranges are often just items from the regular collection which have a shorter length, and when High Street stores have a petite collection, it is often limited to ‘basics’ – black trousers, jersey tops and the odd pair of jeans. Clearly, there is a market for some super stylish, well cut, petite ranges, particularly in the area of workwear. That is what makes Precis so fabulous. This is a complete range dedicated to…

Michael Kors showcase from mywardrobe.com
In honour of New York fashion week, which is frankly flying past in a fast and furious wave of gorgeousness, today’s shopping focus is going to look at an American Classic. Michael Kors is a true New York hero, a man who creates beautiful pieces that are well cut, style rather than fashion focused, and guaranteed a life tenancy in your wardrobe. These are the perfect pieces to enhance your wardrobe, the separates that mesh in perfectly with all the items you already have, but with the added lustre of the iconic name Michael Kors. Think of all those classic American beauties like Carolyn Murphy, Lauren Hutton and Christie Brinkley,…

Duchess Kate wears Prabal Gurung in Singapore
Just a day after I said that Prabal Gurung was perfect for Kate Middleton, she only goes and wears the designer during the first day of the tour of the Far Eat. Kate chose to wear the Singaporean designer during the stop in Singapore, a beautiful purple flowered design in Prabal’s classic long sleeved shape. Kate now joins the stylish ranks of Prabal fans that include Sarah Jessica Parker, Mila Kunis and Lana Del Rey. I love that Kate, who doesn’t have a stylist, does her research and pays tribute to the places she visits by wearing a homegrown designer. And although some journalists and bloggers criticise this as style…
