Janis Joplin festival style
Over the Easter holiday I enjoyed catching up on a bit of television, and one thing that I watched was a docu-film about the legendary Janis Joplin. Called ‘Janis Joplin – Little Girl Blue’, it was a story that told about her life, her work, her problems and showed many of her legendary performances, including ‘Ball and Chain’, ‘Cry Baby’ and ‘Another Piece of My Heart.’ One of the things I noticed whilst watching the film was what incredible style Janis had. This was the late 1960s when hippy chick was all the rage, and with festival fever taking off with Monteray, Woodstock and The Isle of Wight festivals amongst…

Reviewed – VW Campervan wash bag from Planet Camping
I think it is safe to say that a lot of people have a soft spot for the iconic VW Camper Van. As a teenager I thought there would be nothing better than getting a camper van and doing all the summer festivals, enjoying a 1960s style hippie lifestyle straight from the days of flower power. That never happened of course, but I still love camper vans and their laid back image. Planet Camping are a one stop shop for everything you need to go on a camping holiday, but they also offer officially licensed Volkswagen products based on the iconic Camper vans and Beetles. I was recently lucky enough…

A guide to European Food Festivals
Following on from my post last week looking at my favourite food places in Dubai (you can check out that post here) I have been sent a great infographic produced by Money transfer experts CurrencyFair which is looking at the food of Europe in relation to national dishes, street food and their pick of the continent’s top restaurants. The infographic has taken every European country, from Albania to the United Kingdom, and then gives information that relates to food. This includes what you can expect to pay, per head, in restaurants, and what you can expect to pay in the chosen, highlighted restaurant (for the UK the suggestion is the…

Festival Fever – No Thanks!
When it comes to festivals, it is safe to say I am now firmly on the side of 6 out of 10 magazine and their stance in the article ´Why festivals aren´t for me´. Now, I am the first to admit that Kate Moss and her crew of super cool friends still look amazing glamping in their Winnebago´s, complete with their own toilet and home comforts. And yes, the music is still super exhilarating in its brilliance. I am so looking forward to the Goddess that is Florence Welch headlining this Friday night. But I will be just as happy to watch it on the TV in my Menorcan hotel…

Festival styling by Boden
If I’m being truly honest, Boden would not necessarily be the first place I would look for festival friendly clothing. It doesn’t immediately spring to mind when you think of Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Ellie Goulding style Glastonbury wear. But this is the season that Boden has emerged as a new contender for festival fashion, with an eclectic collection just released that is dedicated to pieces that will look perfectly at home in a muddy field this summer. With pieces christened ‘Boho’ ‘Festival’ and ‘Glastonbury’, Boden has definitely got caught up in the summer music mood. Classic Festival style Boden has taken the elements of classic festival style, and has…
